Interesting documentary that shows the background to why Iraq was invaded 2003.
BP extracted Iraqi oil worth £15bn after British invasion here’s an interesting article showing the foreground to why they were invaded. If you stacked 100 pound notes on top of each other, how high would 15 billion pounds be?

We investigate the potential implications of large language models (LLMs), such as Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs), on the U.S. labor market, focusing on the increased capabilities arising from LLM-powered software compared to LLMs on their own. Using a new rubric, we assess occupations based on their alignment with LLM capabilities, integrating both human expertise and GPT-4 classifications. Our findings reveal that around 80% of the U.S. workforce could have at least 10% of their work tasks affected by the introduction of LLMs, while approximately 19% of workers may see at least 50% of their tasks impacted. We do not make predictions about the development or adoption timeline of such LLMs. The projected effects span all wage levels, with higher-income jobs potentially facing greater exposure to LLM capabilities and LLM-powered software. Significantly, these impacts are not restricted to industries with higher recent productivity growth. Our analysis suggests that, with access to an LLM, about 15% of all worker tasks in the US could be completed significantly faster at the same level of quality. When incorporating software and tooling built on top of LLMs, this share increases to between 47 and 56% of all tasks. This finding implies that LLM-powered software will have a substantial effect on scaling the economic impacts of the underlying models. We conclude that LLMs such as GPTs exhibit traits of general-purpose technologies, indicating that they could have considerable economic, social, and policy implications.
A lot of people miss the point that its not whole jobs that AI will initially be taking. But portions of the work load. This will cause more job loses in big companies where maybe 4 workers can do what 5 used to be needed for. Maybe a typical junior manager can supervise 20% more people due to AI in the early days, thus less junior managers needed in large companies.
Small companies with just a couple/few of employees will not lose employees but go to 6 hour days or 1 less day a week.
This was being predicted a few years back and the universal income and its variations were being brought up. Well maybe within 4 years this will have to be worked on or else homelessness and poverty will be on the sharp rise.
Every bit helps to get SAFE into people’s hands, exchanges or fiat onramps on the other hand…
If SAFE becomes widely available, you’ll exchange it for goods and services and not necessarily another currency
We just gotta keep working on making DeFi better. CeFi is going to continue to be attacked by the powerful bankster division of the oligarchy.
We need to be able to sign into Safe, go to our trading app and be able to trade anything for anything without any constraints.
I see a pattern
Seems like what all these people need is “money” that’s widely available, maintain their purchasing power and gives them a voice that can’t be censored.
It’s one thing to blame your gov and IMF for rising poverty and inflation, something totally different to start farming and exchanging goods and services with SAFE.
I don’t think the ‘niche’ defi will help these people, simple farming on their smartphone might. AI is a much faster way to get people up to speed, about their individual financial possibilities, especially if it’s delivered in their native language. English and Español are the dominant languages in Open-Assistant at the moment.
Don’t think farming will help that many. Reduce population growth, increase value adding production, increase education, science and well functioning institutions. Farming on something with terrible batteries and high latency is not good, I hope farming never happens on something which runs on battery as primary source.
Just tootin’ my own horn here, but I posted about this back in February
It all boils down to having a smartphone, internet connection and knowing about farming, presume the unpredictable.
Do the math, number of TB on example filecoin divided by example 46 million people, give them reasonable price\TB. It is all about numbers.
Safe should never be on things with poor batteries, it is a horrible thought.
No one can predict how things will go on the SAFE Network. I agree this is a numb3r5 g4m3, I didn’t do the math on user adaption, but it doesn’t make economic sense to spend more than 1 nano on 25GB.
He made a series of videos adding to the design each time. Expecting a update at some point. Pretty interesting channel.
Caught this earlier. It’s a great channel that keeps you thinking about possibilities.
Forgot to ask how is he scamming people?
Its this guy that is the scammer, the one shown in the thumbnail. Just go through his channel and its too obvious.
I was not referring to the research posted later. Did I reply to the wrong post, I think I might have
I haven’t seen him scam anybody and has provided a lot of proof to back up his claims. I find hIs videos on the Aether and Tesla are very interesting. He is super smug and asshole-ish but I’ve ignored worse character defaults.
Well its years since I’ve seen his stuff, nothing original using other people’s stuff and too much off the wall crackpot stuff for my liking and he believes none of it, just does it for the attention and money. Youtube may have taken down that stuff for its misleading content rules. Maybe his old channel was taken down ← just guessing as I couldn’t even be bothered looking at his channel.
If you like it then enjoy him.
