Must be some cascade/network failure if true, i cannot imagine 99% of nodes were running on pure greed
network size and token price seem to have an inverse relation ship if we can just get back to the old days when we had about 20 nodes we might get back to 40c ![]()
for sure there has been some friendly fire.
i seem to have survived but i was only running 500 nodes so i was not pushing any boundarys.
my CPU load went from below 1 up to 6
and network is nearly maxed
I tried to restart nodes yesterday to support but did not change the config. Today I could not reach the rig remotely or directly so I had to turn it off.
get them restarted then so far everyone i heard from is locked out of there setup except me ![]()
I need to gather some strenght and try to do the setup again tonight. My nodes ran 150 or so days so I forget how to start it up again everytime.
It is difficult even if you try and plan for good headroom. We need ANM 2.0 soon.
Or I also have some ideas when opportunity arrives.
Expected though
Wow! That is literally just folks on this forum running nodes, pretty much?
Ok, data loss is inevitable. May as well assume we have to start over with that rate of shut down.
It may have made sense to taper emissions and migrate the data, but tbh, a sticky plaster torn off can be better.
and the sheer scale of the churn has taken out the good guys as well i cant even upload a txt file to the network right now just timing out.
I bet it will take a while to settle down. It will be interesting to see if it recovers or not.
This shows a future network will need to implement safety measures to protect healthy nodes from tumbling over, in case there is a malicious actor. Anybody willing to spend a couple grand will be able to cash the network it seems, no?
yea im guessing tomorrow at earliest lots of people will need to restart there nodes as well after the churn storm
I’ve gone from storing 30gb to 90gb on my 600 nodes.
found a file that survived that dial up modem mp4 from about 6 months ago.

I’m really not surprised. I expected a bit lower even, but maybe we’re not fully there yet. The network is now back in the hands of node runners that have the networks best interest at heart. My nodes have so much headroom and are happy to take in the extra data. I’ll wait for a short while and let the network settle before I start uploading again.
My power is back up at least - my nodes are filling up nicely! ![]()
I’ve not checked my nodes but I have had an upload payment ![]()
