Better read the report I think, or at least some reviews/summaries as it is 373 pages, its getting some positive comment inside and out of government, and is the first proposal from someone who has consistently been willing to challenge the government and spy agencies over “security” measures. He was pretty damning over the treatment of journalist David Miranda (who was detained as a terrorist when transiting through London between meeting Laura Poitras and returning to Brazil and his partner/colleague Glenn Greenwald).
