After starting the the node-launchpad.exe it immediately closes down the dos window. upgrading to latest release did not help.
any suggestions?
This error is quite common. Here is the solution
In my case the error occurs when trying to connect too many nodes, it crashed and could not be opened afterwards, once the previous steps were followed it was able to open, but when trying to run the nodes it gives you a new error (maximum amount of retries 5) and does not allow nodes to run, if you get that error the solution is this
Run fewer nodes so that it doesn’t crash again.

Launchpad is crashing after startup for me on windows. I attempted to follow instructions but non of them files exist on my machine, im running windows 10 home

the files are hidden, you have to right click on c: with mouse and select show hidden files
