Iām actually pretty skeptical. Iām not as excited as the rest of you. Thereās a lot of things that could still go wrong. Maidsafe has had bad luck with āpartnersā in the past.
Still, the vision is very powerful. The goal is in focus. And it is an improvement over what we had before.
This community is the best. We need to make sure it stays that way.

That is common brain control not to be disappointed again. I think we will se some delay, but it is still really close to final version. UX node, API, ā¦so many years waiting for.

I should start a poll. āOut of Maidsafeās 5 partnerships, how many āpartnersā will stab us in the back?ā. My vote would be only 1, because I know Maidsafe has learned from past mistakes. But donāt be surprised if it is more than 1.

This is way more detail than I was expecting and extremely āprofessionalā. Way beyond what one expects from a āstartupā. More detail and, dare I say it, more honesty than one sees from large companies when talking about their product roadmap. I usually see: fancy graphics, wavy hand goodness, hero figures, promise of everything on day 1. None of that, this is great and achievable. From the heart and is showing the best of opensource and the dedication and honesty of the leadership.

Extremely well articulated by @storage_guy. The only thing that bothers me is all of the partnerships. Maidsafe has never had a partnership work yet.

The roadmap is worthy of a mature project (after all, it is 18 years old) 
and the team has a detailed vision for the implementation of the network, 
but I have concerns about this very tight schedule.
Last April there was a discussion about repeated promises in the past to launch an alpha network. David said at the time that this time we had all the pieces in place and were ready to start testing, I believed that and said it didnāt matter if it took us 2 weeks or a month or even 6 months - itās been almost a year but this time the promise has been kept!
I think itās a very ambitious roadmap and Iām betting there will be slippage, but it doesnāt matter if the project launches on schedule or six months later, weāre on track and thatās the most important thing. Even if there are pitfalls along the way that we donāt foresee today and the beta launches much later than anyone is betting on today. The key now is to be effectiveness and to prove the project is reliable, the rest will be diamond polishing.

I know there are a decent amount of quiet devs around and I am excited to see them bring their creations into the light. Iām sure many more will be drawn in to the ecosystem as well and weāll welcome them with open arms Iām sure.

I forgot about the partnership with altcoinomy that does the EMAID conversion. That partnership is working very well and is very important. Maybe our partnerships this year will be like that one.

Iām not sure if people understand the importance of these partnerships. It might take a while to sink in, but in my opinion, these partnership announcements are by far the most significant developments on the roadmap.
From experience, I know that the most challenging aspect of gaining momentum for any startup is securing the initial funding rounds and partnerships. Once there is a proven concept, everyone wants a piece of the pie. Potential partners tend to adopt a āwait and seeā approach, checking if other notable entities are committing first. The fact that we have already announced five (!!!) partnerships on our roadmap is absolutely massive.
The nature of these partnerships can vary greatly, but personally, Iām expecting them to resemble the development company partnerships that Apple forms when launching a new product. Getting the Apple Vision Pro out is one thing, but having several amazing apps available at launch is a catalyst for adoption. I believe it will be similar with the Safe Network; launching the network is one step, but having instant real-world usage will significantly boost adoption.
