As announced back in February, it’s the first developer conference that we’ve ever run in Europe and takes place on Monday 23rd of April. The full MaidSafe global team will be at the event and the day will be filled with updates covering every aspect of the world’s first autonomous data and communications network.
We’ll be livestreaming the full event on our YouTube channel - best idea is to subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications so you’ll know when we go live.
You can ask questions of the speakers during the day – we’ll be monitoring social media (including the Forum, Twitter and YouTube comments) and will try to answer as many as we can. And for those who can’t watch the livestream, we’ll be releasing videos of the day (probably a few weeks after the event).
The hashtag for the day will be #SAFEDevCon18.
Check out the agenda for the day below.
Looking forward to finally meeting many of you in person
Community Talks (Session 1): Building on the SAFE Network
JAMS: The decentralised music player; Using SAFE as a timeseries database for health science; Supercharging the SAFE Network with Project Solid; SAFE-FS
Wow, christmas comes early this year. Will be so exiting, can’t wait. I would like to know more about future possibilities of databases and computation alghoritms like PRNG, how can it be done with SAFE-network in comparison to todays back-end. Questions I have been wondering about for a year. But I guess I have to wait with the questions till sunday. Need to get the Scotisch feeling for Monday, the best combo at the moment I can think of is, popcorn and single malt, but probably need to google some more.
Awesome looking venue & lineup. Look forward to following this. Disappointed that I don’t see thousand-mile-an-hour @Shane listed. Im perplexed and echo the concerns of many that he and his partner are MIA.
Best of luck to everyone.
Looking forward to meet the team that makes the future of internet happen and all of the community that will be there physically as well.
Flight tickets ready, see you on Monday!
I’ve landed in Ayr after more than 20 hours of travel. I stooped into one of the closest pubs to have a breakfast and now naturally had to have a lager while studying a newspaper and finding it of better quality than the Swedish top two duckpond products
Have made several important and fascinating discoveries on the way (except from the already mentioned ones).
First of all, when you say that “Ayr” is pronounced like “air”, then you need to remember that it is like a Scottish " air"
Secondly, the town(?) Irvine is pronounced just how I thought that Irvine is pronounced - there’s no “vine” in that! And I’m assuming the surname is the same
The girl at the bar knew of MaidSafe, but only shallowly as a customer had mentioned it recently.
Well, that’s that for now. Will be strolling to the hotell in a while, I’ll be surprised if I don’t find the bed to be very inviting for a while there.
Will also just take the opportunity to give a massive THANKS to MaidSafe for having us and doing this.
