I’m sorry but all your posts feel so scattered. I don’t feel there is even a common theme if I look at the infographics. Above it’s about birthing, then water and creating plant nutrients…? It’s all over the place and vague to me.
There is the alarmism again.
Your project will benefit from autonomi when it is up and running or it won’t. I hope it does, as there is some great innovation involved that aligns very well with how I think things can function better and more sanely.
Your project needs support now, and you’ve obviously pursued the UN connections as an icon of the good of mankind. Some don’t trust or think so highly of the UN. Again, not a reflection on your project directly, but still a source of caution for many. (look to its history, origins and funding)
Many in this community will support you, but AS A COMMUNITY it would be a mistake to do anything extraordinary at this time in terms of backing. Getting the network launched and functioning just as it is, for itself and its general purposes is where the attention should be. Would supporting your project help to get adoption? Maybe, maybe not. But your project can easily adopt it as it becomes capable and you can support it, much like getting the key node and client software easily available in linux distributions would be.
Beyond sharing a possible usecase for the autonomi network I’m not sure what else you can meaningfully accomplish here.
I’m letting a community that I have supported for over a decade know that we are producing an endeavor with Autonomi stitched into its infrastructure - which is what David Irvine found out at our meeting. There are potentially 4 billion people that need our system. A smideon of math will tell you that a minor percentage of this potential would propel Autonomi ahead of all other decentralized platforms.
I would ask that this topic be categorized as “related projects” or some such as the current category makes it seem that this is official and so may give a bad look to the community and
Don’t get me wrong. I really do see the value of the kind of systems you are shepherding and appreciate being introduced to it. And I understand that your advocating the autonomi network would be a boon to it and vis-versa.
Use the network to good effect. Promote that you’re using it when it’s there and working. Most of the community, and likely Maidsafe itself, will certainly then point to it as a good use of the tools, and thus return the support.
If you’ve been following this forum for 10 years you’ll understand that other old timers may be wary of other projects attempting to piggyback on the broader interest and vast scope the autonomi represents. It’s time to, stepwise, launch and mature the network. I think that’s what MaidSafe is doing very pointedly. Then there’s room to bring related projects to maturity.
In the meantime, we’re all interested in potential use cases. That said, having voiced the rub I felt, I’m looking forward to looking at Khepera more closely.
This sounds like it would only be an application running on/using the Autonomi network. Not a part of the network itself.
Autonomi itself must remain independent of any one project, the code of Autonomi cannot be tailored to suit this project and that project since then the code would be unusable in the end. But Applications using Autonomi can flourish and if certain tools are needed in a more universal way then they may get baked in, like atomic swaps, etc.
@Brog577 Your rhetoric while a bit all over the place seems to imply that your project involves integrating into Autonomi itself. I doubt very much anyone has said to you that will or could happen. But as an APP you are free to get that written by someone for your project. It won’t be a part of Autonomi but will be using Autonomi to function. There is a major difference there.
And I have to agree with @fergish the alarmist and button pushing rhetoric might motivate some, but is now becoming like a clanging bell to many more. Keep to real life, your product seems to be doing something good for those who use it and will help the planet become more liveable and sustainable. I am all for cleaning up our act as things really did get out of hand. But in a real way, not an alarmist way that ends up making money from projects that do little or making money off carbon trading.
It is very strange this “alarmist” pushback. When time after time after time over the years these very forums pushed urgent, and yes alarmist, discussions about the importance of something like the Autonomi network existing. Long, long diatribes about what governments are up to, what media entities are doing to us - bankers are evil!- and how our freedoms need to be protected. Loud and strong alarmist rhetoric: Bring on the network! Please, please get it going before regulators manage to shut Safe Network down before it gets started! What if someone uses it for bad things! Pay the producer and it will end tyranny! Don’t pay the producer it will destroy the network! Year after year of alarmist back and forth discussions…
And now I mention climate change and a way to fight it and I’m alarmist?
Y’all trippin!
I have made it perfectly clear that our endeavors are designed to work with any decentralized protocol. I said it in our presentation before the UN. I repeatedly stated that Khepera was crafted to work with many crypto platforms and that Autonomi was always in mind to be layered on top, utilized as the basic business structure. Not once did I mention our tech becoming a part of the structure of Autonomi or ask anyone to “change code” to make it so. What I did mention is that Autonomi would be USED as part of our BUSINESS INFRASTRUCTURE - just as it will be used by many. Don’t be scared folks - my team and I are not planning a coup to take over the Autonomi network. I’m simply doing what I told David Irvine I was going to do years ago: make something worthy of working with his creation!
It’s as simple as that.
Its gone over your head hasn’t it. These are different things in many ways and shows you are not willing to see that many/lot of people have gotten sick of hearing we must do this because of climate change and doubt the genuineness of the people using it.
Its the rhetoric and words used about carbon credits and climate change trigger words. Read @fergish 's posts and read them with an open mind and see what he is actually saying. We are trying to help here.
