Project Decorum - Crowdsale (Ended)

@Immeinen @Jabba This is a stock response. Contact bittrex-bill directly on bittrex.slack.

@optictopic yes that was my point  everyone needs to have a plug in slack… and seneca will need to send them some proof of ID and other deets too I think.

I do understand that this crowdsale is about Decorum, a software project about decentralized forum in the Safe Network not about speculators trying to make fast money in an exchange. If the PDC, o the future clike, is in one or several exchanges OK, but it is something completely secondary. And I reread the crowdsale details and find nothing that the PDC will be on any exchange.

I did not say that the details said it will be on an exchange. I said that I concluded that from the communication from Seneca. I understand that for you it is completely secondary, for others, maybe the majority – who knows – it is not. I do not understand the negative sentiment against speculators, as you call them. In what ways are speculators influencing the project negatively? Don’t they act on their own risk? Seneca has the money of all investors and can now use it. Does it matter if a generous donor invested 1 BTC or a speculator invested 1 BTC? In my opinion every projects benefits from speculators since they bring more funds to it?! Without these investors your priority no. 1 would possibly not have been achievable.

Yes, speculation at the ICO is at least useful and practical. Seneca has a bigger budget than he could have imagined I’m sure. I bet dally wishes he had more speculators back when he did his before the recent maid bubble; it must be frustrating to watch so much money pour in after a comparatively small ICO when your budget is still unchanged.

There’s a lot of speculator hate in the crypto space because it’s code that really changes things and the profiteering and hype trains do little to help the creative process and hard graft. Speculators are often seen as leeches riding the coat-tails of dreamers.

I think speculators need to be realistic and respectful if they are going to try to profit from the hard work of others. It’s poor form to act all entitled just because you put your money in on a punt, but there’s no denying that projects need to justify themselves as potentially profitable to incentivise the investment they need. So I agree with you, the speculator hate does little good for anyone and I’m quite sure seneca appreciates all of his supporters, whatever their interests, and he has said that he will contact bittrex which clearly demonstrates that to me.[quote=“Seneca, post:556, topic:8474”]
I already contacted Poloniex (due to popular request), but considering how long it may take I’ll start bugging bittrex as well.

Give it a little bit of time, we will see it on an exchange I’m sure.

I think you are right here. For me, speaking as a contributor in the crowdsale, it’s:

  1. FUN! Fun to sponsor new tech, fun to participate in a community that is dear to my heart, fun to take risks and deal with them.
  2. Profit. Indeed, I wouldn’t donate, or only very little, if ROI was zero. I have no short term goals however.

Fun & profit summarizes most of my motivations. On top of that is my belief that the world will be better off with Safe Network.

Bittrex is a poor exchange~
I prefer Poloniex to Bittrex even it may take a longer time.

I already asked for a bitcointalk thread several times the last weeks. why the dev is not responding to this? it is that difficult to open a fucking thread? now we will not get listed because of this…

are you out of your mind? this coin will not get listed on polo at this stadium or even in one year. simple as that

come on, it is much better to trade coins on a exchange with more liquidity and activity in the long.
don’t be wishful thinker to make fast money in altcoins!
The longer waiting time to trade, the better room to coins pump!

I’ve never been too fond of bitcointalk. There’s just some kind of feeling of shadiness I get from it and some of the people. It’s still important though of course to get a thread there.

Anyway, I haven’t read through this whole book of a thread but since the crowdsale is over, is there any news on PDC coming to an exchange?

This thread counts. Relax, it is over 550 posts and is demonstrable of community involvement.

Goodness…

maybe PDC should get added to openledger / bitshares decentralized exchange … could make sense …

well consider trying to get it on bleutrade, its a nice little exchange. if you must. other than that I would say why not in omnichest decentralized trading ? I see some coins have already been moved. else just say how much you want to buy sell here or on another thread. i dont care, I have 3430 PDC tokens lol

will be good to see bittrex because i don’t want to store my tokens in web omniwallet with no 2factor. Also have no chance to setup omnicore and all bitcoin wallet on my PC.
