Not that there’s anything that can be done against the monopolization of safecoins (one can buy as many as they want to), and I’m not even saying there should be (some have more to spend, some have less, that’s just how it is) but what will the effect be if just a few people will own much of the safe money?

Okay, I get it. I was looking for Poloniex transfers actually, and noticed one of 4,000,000. “Who that may be???” Well, this may be a useless thread from a conversational point of view, but may serve as reference for other noobs.

It wasn’t until I sorted the alts by price, that I realized the price difference between OMNI and MAID and the opportunity to move between the two over the last 2 years. Stock buybacks have been fashionable over that period.
Nice bit of upward momentum… Wondering when another skanky fool is going to drop a few million and screw it up.
I think we could see an increase in price quite soon as I think if a little steam starts to come from ethereum then holders will need somewhere to run too if bitcoin is crashing, we may see some re invest of profits from ethereum holders generally even if it continues to rise, I think eth has got a few more doubles in it but think Maid has got a lot more doubles in the price…

Eth rocks today, and Maid not catch too much, climbling slowly was i expected to let me buy more 
I was slowly getting out of ETH and all my profits went into MAID when it was <10k sats. I missed a good several-x gain in ETH but it doesn’t bother me a bit as the future I envision for the SAFE network and Safecoin is such a bright one, I can’t even look at it lol 
So yes, you might be right, some ETH profits will enter MAID, also from BTC people will take cover and buy MAID/ETH which will fuel the spiral, so we’re in a very good spot now.
In the medium term(next 12 months) I see Safecoin taking 3rd place after BTC and ETH, if the team will deliver the promised network( and I think they will ). Also, compared to Ethereum, I think the value of the SAFE network will be greater than the value of a fork.
Major milestones will be distributed computing and maybe safe decentralized contract integration which coupled with good marketing will bring value to our project.
With market cap of ETH hovering in the 1 Billion range, things become very interesting.
We need the headline “ETHereum inventor meets with MAIDsafe inventor in Troon Scotland” which happened a couple of years ago I believe 
There was some chatting between Vitalik and David back in 2014 maybe even earlier and they discussed a little bit about SAFE principles…there must be a log somewhere…or even better, why not make our two favorite projects re-open discussions about future collaborations again?
Not sure if the dialogue was in regard to collaboration, maybe more about bedding down the distributed nature of ETH?
You may be right, I don’t remember exactly. Anyway, the technologies are different so an easy PnP method to interconnect the Chain with SAFE probably is not an easy task, but who knows value can be derived from open source projects in many ways.
Yes, I agree. I think when we get to Alpha/Beta stage there will be plenty of projects to collaborate with. A dev meetup between Eth/SAFE Engineers would certainly help. For now we are 100% on this rolling release though and there are a few business meetings and interviews currently happening (draining but required). So time is nearing perhaps but just not yet. We have a lot to prove and I think we have started that now. So lets see some real fast solid progress and get the network to the people and controlled by the people and then open communications a lot wider.
Should be a fascinating year in this space I think.
Ok, can see why the demand has gone up for ETH now…Microsoft testing it on Azure.
So much for ‘distributed’ nature of ETH at least there’s a clear distinction being formed between ETH and MAID tech and their investor class now…could actually work out well in the long run, given the increasing disdain for central planning.

The ETH guys have been slick from the very start, but when you consider where they are in the dev cycle…SAFE has a great chance to out run them…and the decision to switch to RUST? well David needs to take more of those beach walks

Yep, and this is why I stated a couple of posts above that I see the SAFE network as the only decentralized project for which the value of a fork is less than the value of the original for the private/personal businesses alike.
In my opinion this value is a metaphoric mix between the hash rate of bitcoin that secures a network of payments, the smart capabilities of Ethereum coupled with the built-in scaling functions that are not yet present anywhere in Chains
In final deliveries SAFE will do everything what bitcoin and ethereum and other chain projects will do and A LOT more, so very excited to be part of this 
Also I can’t remember the last time my father understood what good BTC or ETH brings to the world, but when he easily understood that one of the functions of SAFE will be a more secure online storage solution it clicked me right away this is the way to go
