Latest Release Feb 5, 2026

No, the reachability feature has not been completed yet, and I’m actually not sure if it will be done before Autonomi 2.0. I’m pretty sure the new tech has some completely different mechanisms for NAT traversal.

I’m 150 of 600 upgraded.

No, auto upgrades are a feature of the antnode binary itself.

And those instructions for doing a reset with antctl only applied to that particular release. There is no requirement for this release to do a reset.

Yeah it reduced by a few thousand so far. There will definitely be some older versions being evicted from the routing table in the new version, but I’m not sure if that accounts for the whole decrease.

The person who deployed those 2025.12.2.1 nodes is still holding strong at ~5% right now.

Upload scripts are running at full force again using Merkle. It’s going to be interesting to see it progress while the network upgrades. Getting in those cheap payments nonetheless

Are you bagging a load of scratchpads for future use, or just uploading data?

I may try to get some photos backed up once I’m sure I won’t lose track of the keys etc.

Is the UX for ensuring you have the data map + decryption keys to access private files in the future pretty easy?

Just genuine uploads. It’s really to test the network, see how nodes behave when filling up etc.

The key stays the same, so even if you lose them, you can “reupload” them at a later stage. It will check for existing chunks (which they all do) and provide you with the exact same key again without spending a penny. I’d encourage anyone that has valuable data they want permanently stored to get started with uploading, it’s extremely cheap right now.

Although I would like to love to see a ton of data being uploaded to the network, I would be cautious about uploading any personal identifiable information onto the network just yet. A very thorough third-party audit on the current network regarding privacy and security has not been done, or at least not one that has been publicized. The last thing I would want for someone is their data or metadata being tied to their identity when they are expecting a completely private service.
