I shut down launcher and the vaults. Restart it again. I have no problems with logging back in. I created the account today.

from yesterday but I’d used it earlier today.

Today’s new account lets me in but the won’t respond to the demo app… even the demo app appeared to get frustrated and I saw the timer ontop another authorise yes/no… before I closed it down.

Error in the terminal for an account that I’m fairly sure I have the detail correct is:

Are the seed nodes still online?.. I expect if those disappeared at any point there could be losses randomly.

More likely perhaps is that we only need x4 vaults from a small number holding the same data to drop at the same time, for whatever reason, and the data would be lost. Am I correct thinking it’s only ever a maximum of 4 copies?..

On both Windows and Linux, I have had the launcher time out and restarting the launcher doesn’t rectify it, but rebooting the computer did.

Your blog page comes straight up but I haven’t been able to get any sound out of it, even after installing the flash plugin (on Firefox), either the slider widgets or the sound cloud footer.

EDIT: I had it on manual proxy, above. Now on the pac proxy, the Sound cloud plays (of course, since it is streaming over clearnet) but the sliders still don’t play.

im only able to access http://bjarte.safenet/ at the moment, and it plays audio here.

and it shouldnt need flash, its html, i dont have flash installed

Oh dear, I guess the sound cloud footer is a creation of the Flash player, rather than a feature of your page. Grrrr, I’ll take it out. I put it in trying to get sound from the sliders.

EDIT: Actually, the sound cloud footer is a feature, not an ad, and it won’t play without flash player.

Your caching must be supplying the data.

Im pretty sure soundcloud uses html5 and not flash for their widget.

Im running firefox with no flash player installed, and have no problem using it.

So, I just rebooted my computer, made sure no flash was activated(its not installed). Started launcher without starting a vault. Signed in. Loaded http://bjarte.safenet/ and audio still plays. Took a while to load the page (css took a long time), but it all plays. And I still havent started a vault here.

edit: occationally css doesnt load at all.

I don’t have flash. I only use html5. I can play two songs on his website. It takes 3-5 minutes to load the music. Once it’s fully loaded, I can play the music, and move to any time frame without having to reload the buffer. Awesome! However, I do see the bottom of the page is not currently loading. You can’t grab clearnet link and put into safe. That’s insecured, and safe browser won’t load clearnet because of pac / manual proxy set up.

I tried uploading a folder, and it failed half way through. I decided to re-upload the same folder, and I get the error, Failed to create directory /public/test. I went to the website, and type test.tester.safenet and dns says it doesn’t exist. Interesting… I am wondering if those files already saved in the vaults.

I removed couple files from the folder. Reload it with a different dns. It works. Oops, I accidentally removed the Logo. Oh well. http://testing.tester.safenet Warning, do not click the gitlab link. It goes to clearnet website. I forgot to remove that. This is an old version anyways.

Yeah, I havent locked my browser to only clearnet/only safe. So it works just fine here. Insecure how? Less secure than actually browsing the regular internet?

It is because people can hijack the scripting, and putting you into vulnerable position. You think you’re connecting to soundcloud, but you could be connecting to 3rd party server. Man in the middle attack is still there when using clearnet. Not so much under safenet.

Just now I was seeing this error for any known *.safenet site:

Restarting launcher and client computer did not fix it. So I have restarted the dedicated server and its vault. It is simply doing endless restarts, since it can’t see anyone. I can ping known Internet sites so it isn’t a connectivity issue.

I’ll just let it do that until it decides to start seeding a new network in 15 minutes or so. It will be interesting to see what happens after that.

Lmao. Yeah, I got the same issue. I think I broke the system.

I ran an rsafe example with some modifications. After that, launcher broke. Interesting… I forgot to remove the delete Directory. This might be the issue. I dunno. I’ll look more into it.

My vaults are going nuts. I had 3-4 crash at the same time earlier. I guess I could have started a cascade with that. They still have sizable routing tables though, however, I’m having trouble getting all the ones that crashed reconnected. Only 1 back in so far.

I’ve logged in but the demo app is taking forever to be authorized. I’ll stop my launcher and let the network rebuild, as it appears to be doing.

I can log in rather quickly.

Vaults was getting bad connections. But now it seems to fixing itself… It’s collecting data now.

I am not able to connect anybody’s websites at all. But I can access to my own website. Interesting.

I’m going shut down my vault, and re-run it.
