Include client in application

Hello everyone

I wonder, can I fork maidsafe client source code and include it in my application, leaving all that account creating and other maidsafe-network-related stuff under the hood of my application? I mean, is there are any licensing or technical arguments against this?

Maidsafe is free to fork, but if you do, you must release your code under the GPL license. I think the maidsafe team is working on on API so that you can use the full maidsafe library or just crust without forcing you to make your code open source as well.
