So who/what is The Jason Stapleton Program? Before I answer that, ever heard of the saying, ‘In a world gone mad…a glimpse of sanity’ or ‘In an ocean of turmoil…an island of calm’? Well, he’s that and a whole lot more…entertaining, topical, knowledgeable, informed, traveled, intelligent and articulate. In his podcasts he brings his special sense of understanding and ability to simplify the issues (government, politics, economics, domestic and foreign policy, war, markets, morals, and more) an hour each day. If all the madness and all the turmoil (at home and all around the world) have you confused, aggravated and looking for a source of clarity, perhaps Jason can bring you a bit of sanity and a welcome sense of calm.

The goal is for the community raise $2000 USD to donate to the show. This donation will award us an one hour episode dedicated to The SAFE Network. This hour long episode will consist of @fergish being interviewed and give him an opportunity to proselytize about The SAFE Network. If all goes well Jason will be converted and the message of The SAFE Network will reach thousands of listeners.

I would have to agree, I’m not a fan BUT its exposure and @fergish would represent the community well and I also appreciate @betterthantrav effort so I will contribute soon.

What “name calling?” The campaign is an obvious, American nationalist fraud. Next it will be “support the troops” or some such drivel.

I’m glad something that’s PR has been proposed, I’m a little jealous of how DASH is able to self fund and proliferate so easily. That’s something this community could really use in days to come.

I didn’t get that far and don’t need to. The emblem was enough for me and my intuition was sufficient. The only time I’ve seen a rearing snake emblem is as a tattoo on the arm of or as a coat of arms for military and security types. The Gadsden meme is a parochial American meme for people who still think their failed joke of a country represents “freedom” rather than the despicable rampaging empire that it is. It has NOTHING whatever to do with SAFEnet.

I won’t argue against that America is an empire that is effed as far as freedom goes but why not tell others about freedom on the safe network? Delusional or not?

I don’t disagree that US nationalism is no real solution. I also don’t know for sure that promoting on this line is the greatest.

But think of it this way: People who are attracted to this sort of outlet because they really do see that Privacy, Security and Freedom are (a) important and (b) being swept aside left and right. And they’re passionate about wanting to see those values, along with personal responsibility, take the fore. They should be open to improving direct access to Privacy, Security and Freedom, as opposed to (or at least as an augment to) the very unworkable and unsatisfactory means which are all they are aware of, i.e., the state-as-parent paradigm. If you didn’t come through that phase in some fashion, you’re the exception.

I think it’s worth a shot, if enough wish to support the effort. We’ll time it for when the network is more accessible, like in beta stage.

@betterthantrav what happens in the worst case scenario and the half show amount of $1000 is not reached?
I personally think a more tech savy audience would yield better results but I’ll support any effort to spread the word.

What does $2000 dollars get us?

It will allow us to take advantage of the shows donation program. It will get us an an audience with 20,000+ and growing listener base. A listener base that believes in Privacy, Security, and Freedom. For a total Return On Investment (ROI) of $0.20 per listener. This ROI will increase over time as new and old listeners listen to old episodes.
