yeah xD …
…
on the bright side friends auto-approves requests coming from “existing friends” … but super annoying … (that why I would like to move it to a history datatype / DAG structure … cannot be lost again …)

What about if you have previously sent a request to someone who has cleared their friendlist and therefore cannot see the request and you cannot resent the request?
I say this as I had added everyone on the table including Josh and Southside, whome currently haven’t accepted said requests.
I guess I haven’t tried re-sending the request, though that would be counter-intuitive, in practise.
How does the request get handled by the interface? Is this somethign that will fix itself when you migrate your datatypes and the API?
I also have a one or two of requests that have been pending since I sent them. I assume the other person has to be online at the time it is sent, or is this something else.
Maybe expire a request after a while, and offer to re-send if the person is online or indicate that they are not currently and so the request will remain pending (or what else to do)?
Wait! Isn’t the data being stored in Autonomi? ![]()
good suggestions; the more I think about it the more a redesign of some stuff comes to mind
…
it’s not like anything of this would be complex … it’s just that on 2nd attempt you tend to do it better I guess xD …
in a scratchpad ![]()
can be erased by you (your app) any time and if you did the data is gone
I did not see a new friend request from you.
IIRC I accepted one a couple of weeks ago but that did not survive a restart of Friends.
Anyway, it cant find your profile
We;ll get there, this is what testing ia all about…
And likewise for [J|j]osh…

Thank you - how about @Josh ?
if you look into the table in the first post you’ll find him too ![]()
Thanks for adding me and the reply, I think a message now takes around 20 seconds to get through.
Wonder why? They used to be pretty instant, if I remember correctly. @Southside didn’t we have pretty rapid back and forth a few weeks ago?
We did indeed.
Hope we can resume soon. ![]()
new friend request sent.
If you sent an invite to me, it hasn’t come through.
Could this be because I still haven’t deleted my own invite?
I’ll do that now as it is all but confirmed they are no longer visible, though worth mentioning @tobbetj was able to accept my invite after what I feel like was about a week after it was sent.
It’s almost like we are runing different versions of the service ![]()
I got nothing my end, though I only just deleted my original request, might be that I did after you sent your own?
I sent the request 1-2 hrs ago.
Its frustrating, isn’t it?
Are you online now?
I am at the moment, though about to sign off for the day ![]()
I’ll hang around a minute to make the connection.
