I think it is going to push many of the Autonomi-interested people away anyway. At least I’ll leave Discord if/when asked for face verification, or ID’s etc.
I think it would be great for Autonomi to keep presence in Discord, and actively talk about the dangers of that platform. But I don’t think it is a good idea to keep that as the main channel.
Same here. I found it strage for a decentralized, privacy-focused project to use it in the first place.
The forum worked better in many ways at least for structured discussions and archive purposes. I find it hard to follow discussions on Discord as important things tend to get hidden in the huge single discussion thread. A step backwards IMHO. But hey, maybe thats just me getting to old for this faster paced and more chaotic way of communication. 
Seems they at least claim to have refrained from those measures after the backlash.

Yet another example of the level of inconsistency that this development is reaching.
I suppose a good measure of how well the network is going will be when a discord / forum kind of app is available to use and everyone close to the project is using it.
