Hey everyone! A new update for Dave just dropped. It’s a small one, but it brings two solid improvements:

Some people don’t consider the thumb a finger.
I’ve been around for a while and confusion reigns. To have reliable uploads do I need a combination of both the new Dave release and more current version nodes to come online? Or can I use an older version of Dave and simply wait for the nodes?
The confusion is understandable. The team is small and doesn’t have the resources to explain every detail. Based on the information shared on Discord over the past month, my understanding is that we will need to use the new version of Dave and wait for all nodes to update. At the current pace, it might take 1–2 months for this to happen.

Think @Dimitar is being a little dramatic. Only 15% of nodes have updated to the latest version (last update from Chriso) hopefully the automatic updates solve this problem

Fingers should be defined by their placement and functionality on the body, not what they are defined as in medical school to differentiate regarding autonomy.
But I don’t care about fingers, I am not a doctor. 
But check the honey badger video if you have not seen it, it is quite funny. Honey Badgers are savage. 
I have read Robert Ruark’s novel The Honey Badger, it covers how fiery they can get quite well.
Cartoon “art” has generally held that characters have only 3 fingers and a thumb ( You can argue about whether that is 4 fingers)
Otherwise the final rendering gives the impression the character has a bunch of bananas on the end of their arms.
Look closely at other cartoons if you don’t believe me.

Without automatic upgrades or the emissions incentive, a lot of operators don’t bother.
The good news is that this is the last time we’ll have this problem for the foreseeable future. The likelihood of it popping up again arises once new development teams join to work on the network and automatic updates are stopped.

No because Chriso hasn’t said it will take 2 months to upgrade nodes and has more information than us.
Seems to me that another forced upgrade and churn to get things done wouldn’t make any difference at this point.

Its not really forced if a couple of weeks have passed and emissions are removed for the old version
