Never mind, keep at it. It really is appreciated.
Did you get logs?

not from this one no.

I have not grepped anything significant from last nights logs yet. Will keep looking.
Exactly what did you change for this last run?

ok, it looks better now. take 6 is trying to fly.

Trying the nodes built always-joinable is the only change.

and https://jc-com-net.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/node_connection_info.config is still valid?

Edit - what size are the nodes set to? Did you launch 17 of them again? I counted 17 seperate IPs for the logs last night. Trying to work out when we would fill thes nodes and require more if the always-joinable fails for some reason.

yes everything is updated, prob best to rm -rf $HOME/.safe though and start from fresh.

Gotta run brb, but it all looks good at my end.

guessing something is up with the gateway

I am in the middle of putting up a free tier AWS instance for some other work - I’ll have a go at hijacking that for this test

I had 18 going at one point last night, right now I have 11.
Could easily add an additional external node now which I could not do last night so always-joinable is working.
size set to 500mb.

I am having a real hard time with Ubuntu versions though, the first 5 minute attempt earlier was on 20.4 and it was a little rough, changing to 21.4 has it running fine now.

What issues did you get with 20.04? I must admit to sticking to the LTS versions myself.

So 5.5Gb upload req’d before we need to add more nodes

belter im in with a manual port forward

when the node tried to boot strap i noted the port it was attempting to use and made a manual port forward before it timed out

my first node online in a long time one happy camper !

wife not so happy about the state of dinner though
