There is plenty of malware than uses other’s CPU/GPU to mine crypto for own benefit. Could the same happen in SAFE Network (malware that uses your resources as a node to farm)? Are there safeguards in place? How will be detected? Curious to read.

As far as i can tell there is going to be nothing in the Node code to detect this. Malware will (I presume) run stock standard Nodes s/w and reap the rewards. To run a bad node would be counter productive.
Same as mining, the mining pools cannot know either.
So I expect that it’ll be upto detection software like virus, malware, etc detection software to expose it. And of course people noticing their bandwidth usage going up.
To answer you, yes it should be easy enough to craft malware to install a Node or many on a PC

Absolutely, there will be safe network farming malware.
At the very least you are talking about malware that can earn real world money.
Naturally hackers will quickly take advantage of it if they see farming SNT makes them an acceptable amount of money.
What you are talking about is is no different than crypto mining malware that weve seen for years now.
You are talking about things completely external to the safe network:
Your computer being infected by malware (there are so many ways of this happening)
Malware installed and running on your computer without you noticing (crypto miners spin up the CPU/GPU causing fan noise and slowing the system down and people still ignore it for long periods of time)
So if malware developers decide SNT gets them the same or more money, they will simply change out the blockchain mining code in their malware for a safe network vault that secretly creates one or many vaults on your system using your hard drive storage and hoping you dont notice that more space is being used than you thought

One original idea I had before starting the company was to write a virus that was the safe network and then have it announce everyone’s data was now safe. “I am a good virus and I am here to help and partner with humanity” type thing
Oh BTW not to take the cash, but to let each user see they had earned cash.
