If someone wants to develop a poker game i’m happy to give some input to it about what makes a good online poker site. I used to play online poker for a job for many years.
You did? Any chance you’d like to share the online nickname? I used to be a professional online player for about 8 years as well. I think there would be a great market for a decentralized online poker room and I would sure contribute to it as well.

No way! Maybe we had a few battles back in the day?
I didn’t have one specific name, as i played many sites under many names. The most used one was probably Belfunk.
What kind of games did you play?
I’m not sure, the name doesn’t ring any bell. I was mainly a mid-stakes tournament player. Started when played very briefly on Absolute Poker before they shut down, then Partypoker and obviously for the longest period Pokerstars. I’m glad I quit just before GG poker took over the market, I hate the UX/UI with a passion.
And to stay on topic, what’s going to be fairly interesting to watch is supply hitting the market (in the form of shareholders / emission) and supply being removed from the market. We’re only 1 day in the Impossible Future backing phase and we already have more than 375.000 ANT locked up for a year. Obviously, shareholders claiming is much more, but those are not all hitting the market. In fact, from what I’ve seen so far, it’s a very small percentage that is selling after claiming.
In comparison, we have only 800k ANT on the sell side on Uniswap liquidity. While 375k is locked for a year in a matter of hours. It’s impressive to see the fundamental trust the community is showing by locking their ant for such a long period, and my guess is we’re only seeing a small part of what’s yet to come. Most people, like me, will wait till we have a better picture of which projects have a good chance to bring their product to the main net to qualify.
Ah ok.
I started with small 6 seater tournaments and sometimes bigger ones, then moved onto cash games, and then finally onto heads-up cash games.
There probably wasn’t a poker site i wasn’t on, but spent a lot of time of Pokerstars, Full Tilt, Partypoker.
There are now officially more tokens locked away for a year than on the sellside of liquidity on Uniswap. Over 1 million!!
Now, we don’t have accurate data regarding circulating supply yet. But my estimate is that around 2% of the circulating supply is now locked away for a year. That’s in just 2 days.
You’re right. You’re my friend. And I’m here to say: everyone, our friend here has been wrong the whole time. But he is still our friend, so I will back him up by saying the follow: the price will not go to 1 cent or below. It will fall to last place. Now you can hope to buy up every single ANT, and become the queen ant, stuffing your face until Google feeds your insect children poisoned grub that otherwise tastes delicious in order to kill you.
Roam free, ants!
Or just keep up hope and don’t stop buying even if price goes down further. Question your friends.
I expect that after the first week the number of backers will decrease, because if the first week you get 10% ANT for 1 year, the second week you get 5% (if I calculate correctly).

Agree. Also the cash prizes are in the first week only. But I’d expect the last day of the first week to be fireworks as people will double down on already winning projects for some (close to) guaranteed returns.
Currently you get 4 cents per ANT if the leading apps stay the same. It’s better not to wait until the end because if you enter now you may influence other people not to enter and reduce the cents per ANT.

Watching useless shitcoins listing on major exchanges while ANT trades underground is somewhat depressing ![]()
Jokes on them when we get where we are going
Just to highlight, just because a project finishes in top 3 from the backing that doesn’t mean it will finish top 3, as that will also depend on the juries.
What’s wrong with Simon’s cat ![]()
With 10 judges, it is enough for 2-3 to vote for those in the top 3 to be untouchable by the others, as far as I understand the scheme. Each judge gives a vote and has a different weight, unanimity is not necessary for them…
My prediction is that the top 3 from the community backing will also become the top 3 winners.

Can you elaborate on the juries voting power, how much they will be able to affect and such because I have not seen that information.
In the document it says that the juries have 40% of the voting power.
I saw it somewhere in this thread, I don’t remember the exact place: A base to grow from
