What are these?

If governments could ban these tokens, they would ban them right now, not wait until 2027.

I guess there may be a good reason to keep ANT on ETH/Arbitrum alongside native ANT, at least for engaging with EU based crypto service providers.

Once someone in the EU in 2028 were to buy ANT on ETH/Arbitrum, they would be able to use a DEX to get Native ANT if they wanted to.

It’s a little bit of extra hassle, but not that big a friction if I understand it correctly… and maybe a majority of nodes will be happy then accept both native & ETH based ANT, which would make the friction even lower.

I would think as long as on/off ramping, then this would satisfy the rules. Once on the network it is used for in-network resource buying/selling so would not be seen as being used for a privacy/anon token.

The tracking is still being done when bridging to crypto tokens. While on the network it is not a crypto coin and like in-game tokens it is used in game. Even in-game tokens can be swapped without being seen as privacy avoidance.

Do you have an example of an ingame economy that lets you withdraw funds?

No but if you on/off ramp to ETH or ARB-ANT then that removes the privacy issue so it doesn’t fit the rule/law against privacy tokens/crypto. The traceability for governments is now there.

So even if there is none the traceability makes it rather a non-issue for other in-game or in-network. But most in-game tokens that can be transferred in game/network is also traded in some places

The ubiquitous sound of crickets chirping on this forum is the obvious answer. This is the penultimate result of what has been a multi-year project with setback after setback, marked by management mocking anybody asking about commitments, or dreaded ā€œtimelines.ā€ We are now paying the price for the lack of any sense of urgency, a complete and total disregard as to the token price and a non-existent form of marketing whereby the same ā€œwen lamboā€ bois they are now trying to attract but silo off on Discord have been able to define this radical tech as vaporware and a scam for the better part of the last ten years.

The team has always been consistent and given weekly progress reports over the years.

Killer apps are on the way, they were only possible very recently.

The printing press was just invented, get printing.

Network is actually starting to work with things becoming possible in last 4 days that were impossible before.

My feeling is very exiting things are going to be appearing in the next few months.

All we need now is for our fearless leaders David and Bux to make a comeback.

Appears they may be taking the Satoshi path

I just checked the throne room oO … you may be right … neither @dirvine nor @Bux seem to have not been there in a while :open_mouth:

I’d hate to start any rumors but did they elope?

Perhaps the air to throne is soon to be

When you get the rampant, incessant, cheerleading backed up by nothing, then it’s a major red flag. It has been obvious for years to me that those working on this are in way over their heads. I am a bag holder of nothing, basically but it is what it is.

No they are going to jump back into view for maximum surprise/shock value.

We live in a world now where the smart, lucky, and successful people are the ones doing the best hiding.

They hide from their spouses. :joy:
They hide from their relatives/friends. :joy:
They hide from their bosses/co-workers. :joy:
They hide from reality. :joy:
They hide from YOU! :joy::joy:

Disappearing is the new black. Welcome to the 21st century.

EDIT: Physically hiding from people is for newbies and amateurs. Mental and emotional hiding is what the real experts are doing.

Have you been under a rock for the last few weeks?

The network works. It’s stable and hasn’t lost any data since it was stood up.

Not only that, it’s fast too. You can stream 4k videos straight to your browser.

Latency is usually under 1 second for files under 300kb, which is fine for browsing, especially with some caching (we is pretty easy with immutable data).

Uploads are working pretty well too now, unlocking multi-gigabyte uploads.

The community developers are also hard at work, which is starting to bear fruit, as seen in the weekly updates.

I’m not sure how any regular can come here and say it is ā€˜nothing’. Even blind folks can see that’s not true.

Is it possible that they both need a wee break to clear their heads?
And is it not reasonable for us to allow them this?

@bux is in big doing CEO stuff which is not always best done in full public gaze while @dirvine is recovering from VERY serious illness, the treatment of which is utterly debilitating, to expect him to continue at the level he has been recently is unfair, unrealistic and downright dangerous to his and the projects health.

Dunno if any of you have ever had to care for someone recovering from cancer, especially as serious as it was in Davids case. He was only given a 10% chance IIUC.
I have and I am amazed at how strong David looks and sounds considering everything. He is one tough individual, lets not demand he proves that 24/7.
We should be bloody grateful he is here at all, let alone working as hard as he is, whether its visible on this forum or not.

His project is bearing fruit, lets see where we are a month or so into IF.
I an rarely slow to criticise but now the network seems to be moving in the right direction and the real work (not just the planning and prep) is getting started on the various IF projects, I dont think there is too much to moan about.
Yes it would be nice to hear more from @Bux and @JimCollinson, Im sure when they have something significant to say ,we will hear about it.

Until then, do what you can to support your chosen IF project(s).

Oh and vote for @loziniak 's Native Token project please… so much else is a dependency on that.

I can only hope they are away working on a solid legit marketing plan that includes paying influencers over a long period of time.

Our token has no interest because nobody knows about the project. The whole of the crypto-space is always and ever saying ā€˜sh!tcoin’ this and scamcoin that - and with good reason … we can’t honestly break free of being a crypto project though, so we just need to keep hammering the benefits of the network to people who have big audiences and an interest in what we offer - it will take persistent capital outlays week after week to put our brand into the minds of people out there and convince them to get involved with the project.

IMO, it’s going to be hard sell though until we have a native token and a means to pay for resources on the network without incurring a big transaction fee. But in the interim it’s a solid buy and hold token as once we do have solid decentralized apps for storing and sharing uncensorable data that’s reasonably priced, then it will begin to market itself via word of mouth.

All this is true and in the meantime, if there is anyone with ANY funds left at all, get read to buy up this allegedly onrushing dip.
We are nothing without the success of a majority of the IF projects, let them talk for themselves and lets not get too upset about the lack of trad crypto marketing. The hordes are quite welcome to rush in once we ourselves have raised the price to ( insert figure here but my guess is $0.25-0,3)

Considering the network is actually working, the token seems vastly under priced to me. It’s been worth far more with nothing much at all working.

Yes, native token will ramp it up to the next level (fast, easy, cheap, uploads, etc), but the core is here now. Today.

Sure, play the game of buying the dip, but its chasing pennies when buy and hold is the pounds.

I’m actually shocked we’re not above 50c already, tbh. Maybe outsiders just don’t know that the project is succeeding yet?
