Maybe it is paid FUD. Maybe not. I am not so sure about it.
I don’t agree with all of @blvd views and I would not use the same tone when expressing these views. On the other hand, being a firm believer in the vision many years ago, my view on the current state and recent decisions changed quite a bit as well to the very negative side. So I can somehow relate with many “critical voices” here. And in my view they have many valid points! Calling it FUD does not do it justice IMHO.

Ah, then you can ignore just above. But in future you can do it in your settings where there is a list you can make.
BTW, maybe you disagree but most people do not consider deliberate FUD as free speech. But as I said before he is not being banned. If the community would prefer him removed then start a topic in Meta and lay out the reasons he has gone against the forum guidelines.
Yes this is not a free for all forum. Others have tried it and found out why people prefer moderation to exist, even if its optional moderation you opt in for while others choose no moderation or another moderation team. While Autonomi is not censored I suspect forums on there will have opt in moderation system of some sort. Otherwise the forum fills up with spam, illegal material, porn, and actual ability to have conversations becomes impossible.

I did not say he is fudding in that. That was a response to the response of others claiming he is fudding. I was not expressing my opinion. Read it again

There is no danger of anyone being banned. Negative opinions on the forum are welcome, as long as they follow the rules we have all agreed to - no personal insults or lies. Everyone can make predictions about the price in any direction they wish.
My prediction is that once the price goes up and 1% of @blvd portfolio becomes 99%, the ten minutes he spends here daily will be his best minutes of the day.

Sorry, but why are you here? I understand that positive people want to spend time and engage on this forum. However, what’s the point if you don’t believe in this project and only talk negative about it? Why don’t just sell and leave and put your energy into something positive?

I can’t respond on behalf of @blvd but since I share some of his views let me share why I am still here:
- I firmly believe in the original vision. I absolutly want it to be come reality. That’s why engaging with the project (forum, testing running nodes, backing IF etc.) is part of that. And yes, criticizing (in my opinion) wrong decisions is also part of that.
- I have invested a significant amount (and in fact continue to do so at the current prices). Although I think the chances of the project succeeding got lower over time it’s not zero. So I see my investment as a low probability bet with high potential reward.
What annoys me with the community here is that criticism is often seen as “negativity”. Whereas zombie-like cheering about non-achievements is seen as positive. This cheering does not help the project. We need to face the reality to succeed, not act as a cult where any factual criticism is seem as an insult.

It’s hard to sell at a loss especially if you acquired 1 mil token at a much higher price. My hypothesis is that he wants us to refute his negative predictions about the price to make him feel better. (subconscious desire, obviously it’s not logical to FUD your own bag)

I reread it and I still see you have implied it by responding to someone who actually questioned whether it’s fud or not – by generalizing the opinion of most people in a way that borderline determined their opinion is a fact and you almost cut the fudder some slack.
You’re a mod, dude. Keep it to yourself. Good grief.
I remind you that mods are first and foremost members of the community, there are no separate rules for moderators saying what can or cannot be said. My only greater right is that I have the pleasure of paying 60 euros per year for the forum domain.

One possibility. There is a plethora of others. Maybe, just maybe some people realize that this Pleasantville community is actually harmful and not talking about obvious issues (David just casually throwing in the anonymous native token won’t be done and blame shifting by expressing disappointment people actually care) is also harmful.
I also have a theory about the all-forgiving, non-criticizing members who are first to jump out at people like blvd. They are actually the ones who drool over money. They went all in on maid, never hedged their bet and if this fails, they fail too. So every negative thought expressed shakes them so much they vehemently protest, call for bans and label people as whatever they please.

There is a notion of toxic positivity and that, is my perceptionof what has occurred in this forum in the almost 8 years I have been invested into this project. It condemns anything which goes against the doctrine of seeing everything through the world of magical rainbows and lambos. In fact, it has probably done more damage than any “positive” outcome it thought it was achieving. There are no doubt people that bought into the vision sold to them and then have watched as the unwavering “just about to happen” turn to aspirations, turn to possibiloties and then turn to “shut up!, this is clearly an operation to inject doubt”. I faced the same nonsense when I simply pointed out some basics that we were making lower and lower highs and then every little run up was just a stage for another waterfall.
Perhaps those cheerleading should look in the mirror and ask ironically are they the ones spreading toxicity.

This is not a problem. One of the future copies of the network will introduce and test an anonymous token once the technology is proven to work sustainably. All of these things will affect the price.
I personally remain positive precisely because I have other tokens and I don’t mind the low price right now plus I’m running nodes and testing apps.
We are in a better place than ever.

You do know the network is running and people are building and using apps and no data loss has occurred since ‘launch’? I put launch in brackets because yes you are right some things have changed and I myself don’t consider us launched until we have a native token. These things have been discussed and the reasons for the changes given. I can see why these changes have had to happen and continue to support the project. No cult behaviour or arse licking from me. I still have faith in David and the team delivering a much needed and useful network and I’m sure the others (a lot of smart people by the way) who are still here feel the same.

The NFTs belong to the shareholders and the people who lent to MaidSafe.
Specifically, looking at the NFT number, I would say that this player is one of the people who lent money to MaidSafe. Just a guess based on my NFT number, in case they generated them consecutively, and not on another principle.
It is also interesting that the market swallowed this ANT without a problem.

That is just not true. There has been a lot of talk that tone down the overtly positive expectations, and especially the timeframe for that kind of wishes. It just has been polite and not overtly confrontative in tone.
Also, talks about lambos, rainbows, moons, yachts… what have you, are in general very absent in this forum.
The persistent optimism on this forum is of course true, but in my mind it is mostly on the opinion, that sooner or later we are certainly getting somewhere, and hopefully some time in the future going to fly high.
