I guess, but not from my average buy price. My moon begins maybe around 5€, and true moon around 10€.
My sentiment is down, and not easily lifted for a few reasons:
Main reason is that the project seems to be led by David. I’ve come to conclusion, that he is great at solving technical and conceptual problems and a brilliant innovator. Constantly having new good ideas and really pushing for innovative solutions. But at the same time it seems to me, that he is unable to commit to any chosen path and formulate it into principles and tasks that a team could be organized to realize.
And now that he seems to be developing full time all the Saorsa stuff, I’m afraid that the current path is somewhat without a course, and heading towards a revolutionary change if and when his endeavours with Saorsa proves fruitful. A change, that still has some “edge cases” etc. that needs endless fiddling, until the next major change in course. (And while he is doing Saorsa stuff, who is leading the developement with the current path?)
Second reason is that the team seems to small for the task. We hear all the time that “the team is small”, and I’ve come to think it is just too small. I think that the more features there are, like Merkel, shunning… the more housekeeping it needs to keep all those in good shape whenever updates are done. I would think that the team should grow in order to keep up with all the parallel tasks. The announcement of funds for “three more years”, makes me think that there is no plans for remarkable growth, but just steady work with a team about the same size.
Third reason is the treatment of this community and especially some specific members of it. The dismissal of things that @happybeing has raised is one, specifically around issues in mutable data. The other is the lack of acknowledgement of the proposal of @neo about the QUIC settings. I followed that discussion pretty closely, and I think the discussion and trials didn’t go deep enough and take @neo ‘s points seriously enough.
There are more issues that worry me, but maybe this is enough for now. I’m not saying there is no chance of success, but I just don’t think it is very likely.
