Autonomi Launchpad for Dummies

So I was running fine, Win 10, and added some more nodes. The launchpad crashed and I can’t get it to come up again. Cleared everything out, rebooted, re-downloaded the launchpad, etc. and it just won’t come up. Any suggestions? I’m assuming I offended Windows somehow and it won’t let me re-launch for my own “protection.” Is there some setting I need to reset somewhere?

How many nodes were you trying to run? Is it a laptop, or a small screen device, by any chance?

It is a decent desktop - 32Gb mem, 6Tb disk space. I started with 15 with no issues now actually running 50. I disobeyed the warning about increasing more than 5 at a time. I seemed to be able to use task manager under services to manually re-start each of the 50 nodes. Not sure if that’s legit or not, but I think they’re running? But what’s odd is that the problem is launchpad. I would think it would do something like give an error, etc. So it seems the nodes are running, but I can’t monitor or control them.

I did try deleting all the nodes to see if I could start fresh but that did nothing so I brought them back and did the manual start (if that’s a thing).

I had the same problem last week on a Linux machine. Running terminal in full screen and starting Launchpad from there fixed the problem.

Do the last few nodes go beyond the bottom of your screen? If they do, you probably need to either change the resolution or use a bigger monitor. Launchpad has a problem displaying lines below the bottom of the screen.

Yes, I am running more than fits on the screen. I suspect that is the issue as it flashes up then goes away. The instructions indicated that the arrows could be used to scroll offscreen but apparently there’s bug. Haven’t been able to get cmd or terminal to launch it in fullscreen mode. Maybe there’s a bug fix coming? I don’t think I can shrink the screen enough to get all the nodes to report without scrolling. I’ve tried /fs and /max. Is there a particular work-around? Thanks!

I can get terminal to run in fullscreen, but I can’t get launchpad to launch in fullscreen.

Got it! This solved the issue for me: “start /max node-launchpad.exe”
