I very very like the new Autonomi website. This is the best website the project has ever had by a long way ![]()
Maybe.
It bugs me that the site begins with what the tech is against (de-Jeff), rather than what it is for. It’s a fair point, but I would put it far lower. And I think it could be stronger as just a side note - putting the enemy on it’s place already there, and not giving the stage right first to them.
I was commenting on the style and clarity rather than the content, which I will leave without comment ![]()
Yeah, I’ve been pondering this negative start for some time already.
Get with the program - the whole world is turning against Jeff and his tribe.
Be dreadfully careful you don’t choose the wrong side.
Or is it too late for Finland?..
Completely agree with you, terminology is great and the copying of the Ai prompts is super original. One day, soon, we will get this dream up and running a 100% ![]()

I understand your point, but I think that personalizing what the network is replacing is a great place to start. What we don’t want is PEOPLE (and THEIR infrastructure) in between us and our data and communications. “De-Zucking and De-Jeffing” is very meme-able. It states the problem (that people tend to think is inevitable) right up front and highlights why Autonomi is something very new. And not only possible but being done.
I also like it. It’s somehow both retro looking and bang up to date.
There used to be a rule in design that was something like no more than 2 fonts and no more than 2 weights for each. Basically, don’t have a mish mash of styles. This design bodyswerves that! But it seems to work!
Regarding the Zuck and Jeff bashing: sometimes the quickest and easiest way to define what you are is what you are not (or what you are against).
Yeah, it’s was too vague a comment from me.
What I meant with “negative” was not about thinking that un-powering those guys would be bad. Just that better keep to, or at least start with something we will do rather than un-do. Doing=positive, un-doing=negative.
And I think it was a bad move to frame my comment as you did on Discord:
BTW the latest madness from the forum is that some of them quite like the new design but we are too negative in being “Anti Jeff”
Why do you want to put this forum down even more? If you refer to my comments in this forum in Discord - which I think is fine - please just use “toivo”, and don’t generalize that. I can handle direct criticism much better than spreading the blame of my words to wider group.
Sadly I think this forum has run its course.
And that does not mean Discord is “better”.
It is the tool the team are using to communicate - no matter how well or how badly at any given time.
I’m getting tired of the constant confrontational negative tone on here - while fully admitting I can be confrontational too.
I can fully understand @Josh leaving and I may join him as well. I don’t want to leave but it may be for the best all round.
I understand your position and feelings.
I, on the other hand, see also a possibility for a new future. When the thoughts of the people here, that are now seen as critical and/or opposing the current direction of the project, lose their opposition by first the team itself departing, and maybe next the folks speaking / speculating on teams behalf leaving, they/we can maybe form something positive and coherent. Something that does not need to be defined as against or for the current direction or even the OG vision - just what could work or not, what might be good or not.
At the moment I feel that I’ll inhabit both spaces. But I like this forum more as a place to present my views. In Discord I don’t feel comfortable to bring up anything that would challenge the current boogie. Well, I just did today, because of you referencing me there, but in general I think I’ll reserve most of my output here.
Yeah, I too keep thinking that the time has likely come for me to leave as well. This forum has lost so many people I greatly respected. I often think of folks like Sasha, Beermenow, and others (even Jabba) with whom I didn’t necessarily always agree but who strengthened the discourse.
However, I also agree that
So I guess I’ll stick it out until after 2.0, and then decide whether to stay or go.
It’s not the forum per se, but the project itself that lost Sasha and Jabba.
Sasha left without a word and when pushed to return from the dead poured an ice bucket over everyone by saying something like “no amount of “soon” can change the hollowness of the project”. Also stated a firm FU to Southside, lol.
Jabba the last time I spoke to him hated the community’s guts while valuing some personal traits of a couple of individuals. Called them bunch of zealots. Also predicted David would deliver something, but nothing like he had promised (true sadly, lol). He claimed the whole thing is nearly impossible to get right, won’t work economically at least and that decentralizing through a dogmatic vision of one egomaniac beats its purpose. Openly stated that he urged the people he had once convinced to buy Maid to dump it for Btc.
Feels like many believe the forum now is anything but consequence.
I’ve been thinking about how we all show up here and I feel like our time in the Autonomi forum usually falls into one of two categories. Either we are here for the Validation of Ego, where it’s all about being right and getting that personal win, or we are here for the Service of the Project, where the main goal is simply asking how we can help the network succeed.
It’s totally human to want to be heard, but the real magic happens when we shift our focus outward. When we choose to serve the project, we start listening to understand rather than just to reply, and we prioritize the health of the community over the need to have the last word.
Honestly, this project is such a massive undertaking that it requires a very specific kind of energy. If someone finds they just can’t make that shift from the ego lens to the service lens, it’s probably a sign that this space isn’t the right fit for them anymore. In that case, stepping away isn’t a defeat—it’s actually a pretty self-aware move that protects both their own peace of mind and the project’s mission.
So friend @Southside, maybe it’s time to just kick back with a cold beer and relax. Considering the milestone, anonymizing the profile might actually be the ultimate stress-free gift for a 100th anniversary! Cheers to focusing on the things that actually matter!
Check out the Impossible Futures!
Thank you @Dimitar.
I’m no away just yet ![]()
He certainly did. ![]()
Basically we have a differing opinions on the character and motivations of V. V. Putin and he is taking it badly cos it looks like I am right ![]()
Despite that, I dearly wish he would return. A much missed forumite and acerbic wit, also our resident linguist/philologist and chicken expert. Not to be messed with, he is deadly with a thrown axe.
We miss you, Sasha. and the chickens

I too miss him, kinda. His obsession with chicken, guns, and chicken with guns was funny. Sadly, the moment talks about censorship began, he zoned out. Departed soon after. Hardly sounded keen on returning.
Even if I really really wanted to…
Went on to Discord - Msg says I need to reset password. So I get sent a mail “Click here” Click.discord.com refuses to connect - its been like that since early yesterday.
