I’m cleaned out on my uploads address. I have some on my earnings address but not going to squander that on these fees. Also, the sepolia faucet is out of action so I can’t test with the live network.
got plenty attos if you are you are needing some?
the alchemy faucet is still online for test eth gas or whatever its called i got some out of it this morning.
Kinda annoying that it is asking me more than 6 visits to the faucet worth of eth for a single upload. 6 visits that need to be 12 hours apart (3 days of fauceting), I am dedicated but that is asking a bit more than I am willing to give.
does any one have a clue about this fees situation ??
are we completely screwed now ?
the faucet i posted is every 72 hours and 0.1 eth payout
This is so weird, first time ever I heard complaints about fees on erc20 tokens …not!
Thanks to you I still have 5K attos (plus 1K I’ve earned where I do have some Gas but not wasting it for now).
I have 0.066 Eth on my earnings address from this faucet which is 0.001 / 12 hrs and has worked at least daily for a couple of months until a couple of days ago. Now says it is overloaded. Maybe the fees issue has hit this too.
If anyone is flush with Eth feel free to top up my uploads wallet. Previously @riddim gave me 0.1 so I think most of that went in the last few days while hitting the NotEnoughQuotes bug and still being charged - just like bugs in the past.

I seem to always have a version of awe
ready to go, just waiting to upload sites to a live network and never get there because of one upload bug or another. It’s been like this for months and is the only reason I’ve not done a new release.
So I’ll get back to working on the new project until we have a usable live network.
@happybeing Oh I have been curious to ask this for awhile and too lazy to search the forum, as my memory is shot on this one…
What is your expanded UK language meaning/definition for the acronym ‘awe’ ?
thanks in advance…
im trying to send you some fake test eth but seems i cant ??
when i put your address into meta mask and select some eth to send the confirm button never becomes available I am wondering if the sepolia test net is having difficulties ( code for we borked it)
job done we borked it lets get this show on the main net so we can sort that out as well
awe - Autonomi web / awe-some etc, but awe
was just a demo and will be superceded by my dweb project:
Thanks! I look forward to diving in when its ready! Happy New Year!
Just use native ant in it
Totally agree, that requires some retry and notify logic driven my some user setup choices bound by LUTs, with antnodes at least updating state in the launchpad dashboard, ideally a rest api to email to let you know and let cli background daemons processes Autonomi or otherwise know… with an ability to take action remotely, from a browser on mobile, etc…
so much to do, to get to "fire it up and forget’ land.
Unfortunately it gives an error
error: unexpected argument '--path' found
I cant find any documentation on this at all.
Try antctl -h
Maybe there is some info in there I run binarys directly so don’t use safenode-manager / antctl
So what I was thinking about may have been removed
The theory of it is that after a length of time, all the nodes that had that node in its routing table, or tried to churn from that node, will have shunned that node.
This means that only new nodes or other nodes that have not tried to communicate with that node will even talk to that node. Also in theory that node when trying to setup its routing table will be connecting to nodes in general that are further away in XOR space to set up the routing table of its near neighbourhood and far neighbourhood. Its the near neighbourhood that will now be further away.
Now I would think that this means that node has a skewed view of the network and may consider itself as a close node to chunks when in fact it isn’t. This isn’t such a problem for the storage on the network as the true close nodes will always get the chunk. But on the other hand there will be an increase in network traffic because “that node” is at times responding and requesting churn chunks because it thinks it is real close to a chunk. Many chunks.
This increase in traffic from one node is a drop in the bucket. But now if 100’s of people do it with a combined 2000 nodes in a network of 60K nodes, then its quite significant an effect on the network
I am getting all the errors of your post here and the post before it. Switched from an internal drive to an 8TB external drive. I deleted all the User folders and reinstalled Launchpad.
And now that message is appearing no matter what I do:
“When trying run a node, we reached the maximum amount of retries (5).
Could this be a firewall blocking nodes starting?
Or ports on your router already in use?”
Can you repost this as a support topic. This is an old topic and very much outdated. Also people might get the idea the network is going to be reset even though the date is there.
Closing this topic so as not to have any unneeded confusion
A post was merged into an existing topic: Switching my drives/Something seems to have caused a big node-running problem?
