Really good initiative, hopefully other aggregators will follow this principle.
A realy good thing is that Poloniex is top 20 but with the latest fees of 80 Maid/withdraw
holding my thumbs that more exchanges will get added.
Did you know about the insane fee increase on Poloniex? Wonder how that will affect the future trading on Poloniex especially if the price rises after Fleming is released. Do you think anything can be done about the Poloniex fees?
Here is the link to the CoinGecko index I forgot to post in the latest comment.
I escaped HitBTC before by selling MAID and buying it back on Polo, but without any alternatives today I am considering to stop buying dips and just withdraw to avoid the risk of being held hostage by even higher fees in the future. Very annoyed about the fee change without advance notice…
At our all time high… thats $100 fee.
Have they thought it through?
That would be insane.
Maybe we should gather a twitterstorm, ask them what the f*ck they are doing?
I got a scary thought about delisting, that maybe they raise withdraw fees and then delist, I hope that it was just a scary thought and can’t/won’t become reality.
Imho we should have an alternative, like Bittrex
Why can’t exchanges just have a $US fee (like $2) and use their own market price API to calculate the amount for each currency?
… Oh right… Tryna get more $$ ![]()
Bad news for Cryptopia
And MAID was listed on Cryptopia? It will cost 160 MAID to transfer out of Poloniex. 80 MAID to try a small amount, 80 for the remainder. Ouch.
If, oops, i meant when maid goes back up in dollar value, i feel pretty sure that the withdrawl fee will get lowered.
80 maid does seem ridiculous though.
This is shocking - 1984 / Black Mirror stuff (thanks to @Karamu for sending on).
We know how this could end…

That is really concerning. If they don’t start backing off soon, people may start getting revolutionary. Brexit party in the UK is already showing how the establishment can be turned over in the polls. The plebs are getting restless!
Think i need to start a religion that requires me to cover my face.
See how they like that.
Cant believe they had the audacity to say theyre protecting human rights.
Or try anti-surveillance makeup?
“Dreamed up by artist Adam Harvey back in 2010, the project explores how rich pigments painted in Cubist-like shapes on key facial features can prevent sophisticated facial-recognition algorithms from accessing your biometric profile. The concept was inspired by British marine painter Norman Wilkin’s dazzle camouflage technique, in which military ships were cast in dizzying stripes during World War I to warp the enemy’s perception of their type, size, and the speed at which they were traveling.”
I’d love to see if this would work!
