Thanks for that, was trying to skim it and kept skimming and kept missing it. Might as well have watched the whole thing .
Did you happen to comment Tyler?
I feel like Guy is pretty informative and better than most but that is particularly offensive to us. So agree with @jlpell that this seems shilly given a few facts that are being missed or ignored.
I agree, I’m a subscriber to his channel and watch many of his videos, so was pretty disappointed with this one.
He usually tells people if he’s doing a paid advertisement though and if he did so, I missed it + he said some negative things about Arweave toward the end. In either case, he wouldn’t have needed to make that particular comment and shown the Maidsafe name in the image - it really comes down to a lack of research on his part I think.

Given how long Maidsafe has been around, it amazes me how few are aware of what goes on here - IMO, this is a really special and unique project and quite active too, so despite so long without beta I would expect that people who take the time and effort to research it, they’d know why it’s taking so long and would give props … but instead we just get ignored - it’s very weird to me … perhaps says something about humanity in general that I tend to blank out on.

Can’t find your reply Ty, wondering if I got moderated or if I just haven’t gotten far back enough yet.
Edit: Found it. Good comment.
This one though.
“The reason we see 10k plus download for Chrome extension of AR can also be because an AirDrop for the token happened 2 months back, in which you had to download the extension. I too, downloaded the extension for the same reason then deleted it after transferring token on Binance and then selling it.”
I haven’t confirmed this so perhaps I’m no better but I feel like this comment alone potentially says a lot about how things work in this space and how such things affect peoples perception of a project.
yes, many are just grifting or simply filtering any bit of change from projects that they can.
I don’t think many projects, if any, are offering a consumer oriented product though - in the sense of something you’d use daily or even continuously. Arweave’s data pricing model and lack of privacy, IMO, break it as such a product. But you can’t have good pricing, security, and solid decentralization UNLESS you offer a consumer-level product that’s going to be able to max-out Metcalfe’s law.
Safe Network is really unique and I still find it odd that even amongst all the grift, very few people seem to notice.
A new study, published in the journal Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics by nearly two dozen scientists, found that rising global temperatures may be caused by the sun, rather than carbon dioxide.
They have had those powers for a long time. These laws only codify the outlying cases that were perhaps questionable.
The Spy agency has had the power to ignore any laws, only limitation is a badly worded clause to prevent them committing sexual crimes and destroying completely some ones financial position. Badly worded because there is no real limits set. Like do they just need to leave the person 1000 dollars in the bank thus not destroying their financial position completely
The Spy agency before that was allowed to take over any ones computer/account “as long as it is to help investigate another person of interest”. This new law removes the help to investigate another person of interest.
Our government wants to be able to know all about you and control your very lives if they wish to.
EDIT: Ah the law allows police now to do what the spy agency could do.
I could barely listen I was so green with envy looking at how neat and organized your workshop is. mine currently looks like a hurricane swept through it, can’t find a damn thing.
