Hancock resigns – sadly he will be replaced by another effing Tory shtebag.
The fab shown in that picture is a more modern automated fab. There is virtually no exposure to HF for the workers there.
I was going to point that out, but you beat me to it… HR employee management practices aside, it’s likely one of the cleanest work environments in the world.
Cleaner than an operating room.
Prrofits depend on cleanliness, you can be certain its not for the protection of the employees.
and all the Yanks who have scurried off to foreign parts…
Yes. Technically, even the bunny suits are for customer perception. The wafers remain enclosed in a Class 1 environment within their carriers and the tools. Product would be fine even if they wore Street clothes.
Edit: I work in a less automated fab, though. Wafers are exposed to the clean room environment, which is Class 10, and bunny suits are necessary.
Like I said, its 15 years since I was in a clean-room. First clean room I was in, was 40+ yrs ago assembling gyroscopes for inertial nav systems.
They still have some old fabs in use for some smaller companies. Improvements have been made, of course, but a lot of what you remember still exists.
We do have open HF baths here, but they are getting phased out.
Current exchange rates:
30 pieces of silver <==> $5000
All those calls for Binance back handers.
2 Issues here:
- Bill C-10 which makes expressing ‘Hate Speech’ online a crime
- Bill C-36 which allows new laws (or even a Council order) to define what ‘hate speech’ is.
Just to note the update to the article:
Update 6/27 2:55PM ET: Binance told Engadget this shouldn’t have a direct effect on activity through its main website. Binance Markets Limited is legally separate and has “not yet launched” its UK business, the company said. This still isn’t what the exchange operator wanted to hear, but it’s not necessarily a calamity.

That part of the story is just wild. FBI literally hacking and offering to help Iceland in league with a pedophile, just so they could pin that whole escapade on Assange.
I find it more telling that you must have an active TPM 2.0 if you want to install Windows 11. It has been a while so I did a quick search for “Trusted Platform Module” on a few different search sites including the supposed privacy first rebel ones, and interestingly at least for me did not get any hits in the first few pages about the grave dangers to human rights presented by this technology as used to make top spot in years past. Filed under “scrubbing the search engines of dissent”, I suppose. Of interest to the SN because even after downloading “non-approved” content it would not actually be possible to open it.
