Doing jobs no human should have to do but need to figure out a way to tax companies for general income for those losing their jobs.
Historical data on the labour force is great in many countries and that can feed into a formula for this.
It would be fun to see what it would cost to have a human do the job vs Figure 3.
Why doesn’t another Figure stand opposite to it, so that the two can work like a twin and telepathically com who’s processing a package?
Fun enough Figure keeps sometimes turning the packages, flipping the boxes, wasting seconds
. What if a human teleoperated it for a hour and another human showed it how todo the job?
Why is it not doing callcenter work, ethical hacking and vibe coding to escape physical labor? Why does it not have compete AIs running in that
?
Why does it not run Autonomi 2.0 and upload data to update the other Figures?

It seems that the robot makes sure the barcode points downwards, also an observation is that the robot sometimes checked a few sides and drew the conclusion that the barcode had to be at the bottom.
yeah i noticed the barcode thing with the packages right away, not with the boxes ![]()
would be fun if it could just scan the barcodes right away with its camera in the head (putting the barcode scanner out of a job
)
Nevertheless super impressive to see this from Figure
Stream is live, and looking good weather wise. Hopefully we get a launch and se how their new version of starship goes
It will be a crazy time through this transition. Hopefully on the other side we have sound money and more freedom for the people of the world and less power for the governments and those that influence and benefit from the corrupt money.
I saw a brief news article on this a week ago but no explanation, so didn’t take it seriously. Now that I understand it makes sense and is a big breakthrough, assuming they can produce this at scale without large losses in silicon.
At ISSCC 2026, Huawei unveiled τ-Scaling — a formal framework for continuing to scale performance when geometry alone won’t cut it anymore. The idea: every level of the computing stack has slack you haven’t used yet. Wire too long? Fold the circuit. Chip-to-chip communication too slow? Bond them face-to-face. Thousands of chips acting like strangers? Make them behave like one brain.
They call it the Four Foldings — and it might be the most complete answer anyone has given to the post-Moore question.
edit: today I bumped into this article (was published 26th of May):
Its been thought of for a long time, back to the moon missions.
Cost and heat has been the limiting factors. Cost in manufacturing, repair, success rate. IE total cost of production. Heat as in concentrated heating.
The only breakthrough really is not the idea but making it work
BTW AMD has done this internally with some of their new CPUs. Most CPUs today has the basics of this internally with supporting components placed next to the cpu dies. Multiple cpu dies on inside the CPU “chip” you put into the motherboard. Not exactly stacking vertically but a small degree of horz stacking. The new AMD cpus have “3D” cache. That is stacking silicon chips on top of each other.
In the 70’s we used to stack the dynamic ram chips on top of each other with one or two pins sticking out for chip select. I know not done as a process but manually, but it does show the idea of this concept has historical roots.
I hope they have solved more of the limitations to doing this as it will be a good advancement. Now if only the RAM prices could come down a lot more
Excellent presentation from someone in Japan that works at a major energy company and convinced them to allow him to do a pilot program using bitcoin mining. They have now allowed him to create a off-shoot company that focuses only on this and how bitcoin mining can stable energy grids.
This one talks about the issue in the grid in Texas that created the motivation to push bitcoin mining for the grid and how bitcoin mining would have probably saved the energy grid in Spain / Portugal from the black out last year.
Intermittent supply needs flexible load. Bitcoin mining is the only real option.
