Watch this video! :)

Louis Rossmann and co have built an app that is just better than the youtube app.

You should give it a try.

I’ve already donated my payment (you don’t have to but in the spirit of the project).

Some of the benefits for creators…

  1. You subscribe to the creator, this app collects all meadia from all other services like youtube rumble.
  2. It looks like they are working on ways for you to directly support the creator in their profile.

The days of youtube deciding what you can and cant watch are coming to an end.

If this app could link to safenet and let me backup my videos to my safenet acocunt that would be great.

edit:

This time stamp. He doesn’t know it yet, but I think he wants this app to connect to safenet.

Worthy of a bamboo fund donation to connect their app to the safenet, which is launching soon, ?

Why Did Attosecond Physics Win the NOBEL PRIZE?

Pretty amazing stuff. If (maybe a big if) the attosecond photonic transistor (mentioned at the end) comes to pass Moore’s law will continue apace for some time.

New research compiled over the last few years about the human brain indicates it is radically more complex than was previously believed.

Continuing the CLI reimagining, this would be the third video. The vision for the future of CLI has a purpose: a common language to interact with AGI. This guy… truly is something else:

Previous videos:
Part 1, the intro:

Part 2, the “undo”:

Louis Rossmann has been deplatformed because of his greyjay app.

YT doesn’t like its monopoly threatened.

Hope this is a Barbra Streisand event.

I noticed when trying to comment on videos and inform creators about greyjay, that you can follow creators not platforms YT immediately removes all references to grey jay.

I expect the same treatment once we are live.

We need to support Louis, we need to promote greyjay.

His app is a great idea.

Crazy how bad youtube are getting at banning. It will be their undoing.

I looked it up, android only it seems - and I don’t use my phone for video’s.

I figured out a while ago how to pull the XML feed from youtube channels though - so I can simply watch video’s with my feed reader. I suppose this app does something similar?

YT introduced a while ago a rule that other platforms cannot be directly promoted. IE you cannot use their platform to advertise directly another competing platform.

Most business don’t allow this sort of advertising, so while I agree that YT is too controlling etc, I cannot really blame them for this.

Safe will be a great platform for creating an alternative where everybody owns their own videos.

That’s what I’m in love with recently. DisCOs, Distributed Cooperative Organizations. Alternative to DAOs, in a anti-capitalistic way, through commons and p2p, and alternative approach to economy and taking care of local communities and environment.

( together with some further reading: https://www.disco.coop/ )

I will have a look at that video - I too have been interested in DAOs for quite a while so I will be interested in a comparison with DisCos . .

Latest All-In Podcast forwarded to section on Biden AI regulation executive order:

One of the criticisms of the EO discussed in the All-In-podcast was that it is worded too broadly - such that a lot of software that’s not strictly AI could now be regulated. This might even apply to the Safe Network.

So IMO, it’s bad and we need that safe-git-hub sooner than later.

Nice short report of the recent efforts by governments to suppress legit research that goes against their narratives:

“The science about climate change is settled, right? We’re reassured by the media again and again that there is almost complete unanimity when it comes to the question of whether changes in the climate are caused by humans. And we’re also told there’s so much consensus that anyone who says otherwise isn’t a real scientist, but a “climate change skeptic” just trying to muddy the pristine waters of settled science. In this episode of America Uncovered, we look at the sun’s role in global warming, why so many human-caused-climate-change proponents don’t want to look at this data, and how they’re trying to discredit climate scientists who are looking at factors that question the human-caused climate-change narrative.”
