End of the open web as we knew it.
Sounds like the people are ready for a safe net.
Louis Rossmann talks about Googles strangle hold on the internet.
Google is an advertising company, that owns and operates the most popular browser used to access the internet.
Louis now works for What is FUTO? - FUTO
FUTO is an organization dedicated to developing, both through in-house engineering and investment, technologies that frustrate centralization and industry consolidation.
With all of these test nets flying around the place, I think it is almost time to reach out to him.
I was reading about this today. Here’s the source:

Problem #1 it aims to address
Users like visiting websites that are expensive to create and maintain, but they often want or need to do it without paying directly. These websites fund themselves with ads, but the advertisers can only afford to pay for humans to see the ads, rather than robots.
Any mention of open protocols or generally agreed solutions? Nope. As the guy says, this is Google protecting its ad revenues against those that would dare to use an ad blocker.
Bit early yet IMHO … but soon.
Just trust the science … err, paid government scientists.

This time is different?
A look at current economic indicators and considering the past to decide if things are different this time around.
Nautilus is a revolutionary space telescope concept that builds on a novel technology – engineered material diffractive-transmissive optical elements – to overcome the greatest limitations of space telescopes: non-scalable primary mirrors. By providing large but ultra-light telescope apertures, the Nautilus technology will enable the launch of a large fleet of identical telescopes. With a light-collecting power equivalent to a 50m diameter mirror Nautilus will be capable of surveying thousands of earth-sized habitable zone planets for atmospheric signatures of life.
More and more centralization of power - one ring to rule them all. People don’t learn from history and human psychology. There are large numbers of sociopaths all around - once they get hold of this power they’ll use it for horrific ends.
A playlist of 5 videos totalling 25 odd hours, from Sarah Jamie Lewis, where she builds an OS in QEMU from the ground up in RISC-V assembly only. She gets all the way to Doom.
Amazing times. For those who like learning by “jumping in”, it’s hard to get better without going to a physical lab with other people!
Schwab says if you have AI that knows they results of the election why do we need elections. LOL
Brin does not even push back once about it.
This is a 34 min. interview. It will start at where it he says we don’t need elections and Brin agrees. This part is about 4 min.
This is from 5 years ago.
I’d like to hear NVIDIA’s response to this. Longer term NVIDIA will need to go to large chips too, or won’t be competitive perhaps.
@dask - these guys point out that how long to determine will depend on politics. They assert that there are private groups that don’t want others to think this is real and may push out negative results.
For me I think it’s still wait and see. It’s not an easy compound to make for sure and many who’ve tried and failed so far are being too quick to judge IMO. This could end up taking a year to really get some decent results from.
If the oligarch owned media (and that includes the big journals) start labeling it too quickly as a dead end, I would be very suspect.
Andrew Napolitano interviews Jacob Hornberger on the key points of the JFK assassination. ~24min.
“JFK Assassination - the CIA’s Role w/Jacob Hornberger”
Now this sounds excitingly plausible.
Everything is geometry, and recent eye opening technology behind chatgpt looks like we’re about to start talking to the animals.
Whales have been passing down folk tales for 50 million years. Imagine what we could learn.

Well I guess playing the piano with yer prick could be classed as “entertaing” as well.
This is merely pathetic infantile Russophobic shit from the perennial Ukrainian losers

It forgot to mention the 50 NATO officers that were eliminated in Chernihev the other day? surely shome mishtake?
It must be going very bad for Russia right now when the lies reach such ridiculous heights, feels very good.
