I thought you youngsters hardly had any space left these days. Nice going, son. It’s good to save for something important.
Fair play @danda for your excellent contributions, was a pleasure seeing you in action, enjoyed reading some of the stuff you shared over the years. Also happy to see @dirvine getting time to do some investigations I presume this means @Heather_Burns is flying it.
Good stuff Maidsafe, keep chugging!
I wish you @danda all blessings in everything you do. I will miss you. Your comments about SN was very helpful to me. Very Thx… @danda
All the best to you @danda for your contributions to the Safe Network at MaidSafe!
Most certainly amongst like minded folks. Can’t help but wonder if you’ll be a bit app focused? Or core? In any case it’s great to have you @roland
And welcome @roland !! Good to see new faces joining to contribute with their personal experience.
Many thanks to @danda For all your contributions to the code base and in this forum. It has been a genuine pleasure to have you interacting in the forum with the members.
(Same for any in the team who do so, there is none who should not be thanked.)
We will miss you working in the team, but feel free to continue as one of us members.
And most importantly enjoy yourself in whatever endeavour you pursue.
Welcome @roland to the Maidsafe team, they are an amazing bunch of developers for sure. A fellow Electrical Engineer who ends up programming. I went the design the hardware and do the programming to interface/control with it route. That was many decades ago I started.
I am sure you will have an enjoyable time with the Maidsafe team and hope you have much success.
Thx 4 the update Maidsafe devs
Welcome @roland always great to have another super ant onboard.
Goodbye @danda, thx 4 your code contribution and dedication to fungibility, hope to see you around, goodluck with your new adventures.
Keep hacking super ants
Sad to see you go @danda, best of luck with your future endeavors.
Thank you for the heavy work team MaidSafe! I add the translations in the first post
Privacy. Security. Freedom
Thank you all for the warm welcome, it’s really great to see such an active community for this project.
I currently work on the core and I’m learning the codebase by writing tests and refactoring the modules. Though I will be happy to work on different things later down the road.
Could we get a bit more detailed view on this?
I troubles me that this “membership etc.” stuff, that is so central to the whole network, does not seem to get the attention it would deserve in my opinion. There has been several periods of inactivity in Github in these areas. Why is that? People have holidays? They are on a sick leave? They have other commitments? The problems are more complicated than initially thought? It is actually been worked on, but just somewhere in the background, not visibly in the Github? It requires bigger discussions about how these things affect the other aspects of the network?
I don’t need to get detailed explanations of what is or is not up with personnel, but I would like to hear a little bit about why the work does not progress?
membership has currently 3 Engineers on it full time and many more involved. We are making it logically and mathematically correct, but right now, we are proptesting it all and integrating this into Safe. It’s all happening, and it’s very much in focus.
Lots more property testing is happening. Membership and dysfunctional testing are both critical and likely a massive reason for recent instabilities.
When this is solid, we will need to apply a similar focus to data handling and replication.
During this we are also integrating DBCs, so quite a bit happening.
It actually sounds like it’s all coming together
