Hi guys, i’m excited for the great developments of the project but i can’t hide my desire to see the release of Alpha 3.
So i think what we can do is talk about what improvements will bring, when and how will enter into the market.

The roadmap describes Alpha3 as having nodes at home that participate in the network routing

I guess tomorrow will release alpha 3 and alpha 4 ( hihi , dreaming )

I just hope Alpha 3 will contain more storage space.
My websites have already proven to be too big for Alpha 2.
That said, it’s mostly due to Maidsafe not having central links to javascript/css bundles yet.

Alpha 3 will be a network for transient data (not storage more messaging) running on routing nodes provided by the community. Alpha 4 will be adding a storage layer on top of this and that may be the point where you see more storage space becoming available on the alpha network. Fyi…the current plan is the have alpha 2 and alpha 3 running at the same time. I hope this helps.

We will almost certainly have more test nets before another alpha, just to keep people from getting carried away here.

alpha 3 → Q3 2018
alpha 4 → Q1 2019
alpha 5 → Q4 2019
security audit completion → Q2 2020
beta release → Q4 2020
first stable version → Q4 2021
damn your pesimistic , alpha 3 is close, so thats a miss for sure.

And what exactly is meant to be alpha 5?!
As far as I know after alpha 4 there comes the first beta and this post there is just meant to distract and depress 
I’m looking forward to alpha 3 end of this year

There will be as many alphas as needed till the modules are all there (except maybe testsafecoin) Alpha 4 is the last defined one, not necessarily the last one.
Sorry there will be at least one testnet before alpha 3 and likely to be more than one. So hopefully a testnet before years end
