Btw, I solved the trouble with the wallet and the BTC that came too late have been refunded:
Now for the MAID, which is also complicated to do securely because Omniwallet’s offline transaction feature is bugged… I may opt to refund the MAID from my personal stash instead, so I can keep the offline wallet offline.
I hope tomorrow @Seneca we will have some helpful things happening for you to keep going with the development and testing. Sorry we have done so many tests recently and denied client testing a little. Tests have been terrific though, but you will get client stability back now while we continue testing. I know this has not helped app devs recently so we will describe a better situation for app devs to proceed, unhindered by deeper network tests.
Happy development chap, it’s not easy sometimes to handle all the comms and think as well, never mind other work stick in, you will get help.
Lol? 3 week past i don;t think polo will add PDC just for 1k btc in crowdsale… we need some little exchange as trex and others to attract people in our project… and most people said that in this thread that trex will be good.why don’t contact with trex like a safe plan if polo don’t add PDC???
and you want to be like them?I don’t.lisk came on exchange very fast … others projects too. and? dao will come on 28 may after generations of all coins …
I don’t know about maidsafe but I do know that ethereum came on to exchanges almost as soon as its mainnet was up. PDC is already transferable unlike ETH after crowdsale…
Seneca stated several times he will try to get the coin on an exchange and contacted Poloniex first due to a lot of requests here in this topic. He also said he will try Bittrex if that’s a better option. It’s up to him to decide how and when. You now have several replies all about the coin being on an exchange and calling someone shady after things don’t go the way you want them. Sometimes it’s just better to take a deep breath and see how things unfold.
lol if you think that 1 exchange is enough for all investors that bought PDC you are wrong. And all crypto projects triyng to get listed on all exchanges because this is necessary to attract more people in their projects… and We don’t need onl POLO we need all exchanges for all people. polo , trex , c-cex , yobit , and others may be chinees. And this is always in dev’s interest to do it… Why did you stop only for Polo? just for 3-4 people who said to you that polo is better?
Now that coins have been distributed, is it possible to create a separate Forum/ Domain for Project Decorum, the greed exhibited in this thread is getting nauseating.
It’s not about what I want to be like, it’s about what I think is more important for the project. Because if the project is running well, the rest (including investors’ value) will follow. And not the other way round.
So to be honest, I don’t care about any exchange now. If it would take a year or two year after crowdsale, it’s completely fine with me. I’ve waited that long also for Ethereum, and MaidSafeCoin. Because I think things should be done in the right order, and to me, the right order is:
-Hire developers
-Design prototype
-Build prototype
-Test, test, test, test
-Bugfixing
-Test even harder
-Bugfixing
-And test some more
-Finalize product
-Release product
-Marketing of product
-Coins on exchange*
*Of course a coin could go earlier on an exchange, however, investment value wise that is not a good decision, always. The coin price will wildly fluctuate before the product release, because its’ price is projected hope and emotional expectation ONLY.
I cannot judge the projects you mentioned, because I didn’t participate in any of their crowdsales. I did participate in many others however, and this is the way to go, in my experience.
I think I have explained that very detailed now. Just curious, what do you think is the benefit of having PDC on an exchange now, or soon? How would that benefit Project Decorum, the reason we are all here?
you said about release project. this tokesns like a pre-release coins “Clicks”. I want to say that don’t only this group of investors would be interested in success of this project but the others who hadn’t chance to invest in PDC
or who missed the crowdsale will be also involved… you can save your coins for release in anyways and won’t sell them on exchanges but others need such opportunity.
Kinda true, but that is not a real answer to my question. I asked, how would that benefit Project Decorum? Would the product be ready faster? Would the number of potential users be higher?
-I don’t think so, by the way. Trading a coin doesn’t make a better product. Building, testing and bugfixing does. Trading a coin doesn’t make a bigger user base. Marketing the product by releasing honest information to the crypto community in general generates a bigger user base for the ready-product, that works better and will give back lots more investors value, if that is your main interest.
For your information, I always compare these things to the history of Facebook. The initial investors in Facebook had to wait 8 (!) years before they were able to sell their shares during the IPO (Initial Public Offering). And it turned out it was worth the waiting, since a few people that invested ‘only’ a few $100k came out as billionaires. Meanwhile these initial investors helped build the Facebook product, finetune the Facebook brand, they adviced and helped in many ways, to see their investment flourish.
Would the number of potential users be higher? i think yes because trading it is also advertisement to the project in anyway.Would the product be ready faster? Depend on devs skill this is not question to community… Benefit? advertisement , more people , all project need big community and support.
edit: Want to say: we are in crypto-world and don’t compare this crowdsale with IPO of real companies.
The crowdsale is over. Maybe this thread should be closed and a Decorum dev thread should be opened. Someone could always open a Decorum exchange/trading thread if they like.
