Lookup Schrödinger’s cat.
Thank you for a helpful conversation.
Would be good to understand what MaidSafe’s directors have communicated to their shareholders (ao SPV) e.g. in terms of annual reports and/or what shares have been/are/will be on offer to other shareholders cq public market.
As the SPV’s not pro-actively communicating here, did anybody receive ‘board of directors’ news from MaidSafe?
I have not received any cimmunicatuon.
Furthermore, I have been prevented from accessing my account with BTTF for two months now.
I invested a substantial amount so am concererned.
Any suggestions as to how we can make Simon Dixon accountable?
Yes.
Initially they said they would get back to me in 15 business days - but they have not yet and it has been 2 months now.
And since initial contact? Other contact?
No - only the initial email saying that they would get back to me.
Ok, well things get overlooked, customers get forgotten, id try again, calmly and politely.
I believe im in a similiar situation, but im pisitive it will be sorted out, once i try.
I suspect if you go in complaining and being upset ( fearing ) id think the process would be alot more stressfull for those involved with no reason for it
Thank you - sound advice. However, 2 further emails have drawn no response. I will pen a 4th.
If youve drafted and sent 2 since 8 hrs ago when you stated.
Id wait a bit.
If youve not done this recently, that would be the
I asked about but you said no.
So im a tad confused.
Either way, carry on calm and collected, good luck.
I was talking about contact from them - not how many times I have written to / emailed them.
I have sent a confirmation of my purchase of these shares to this address as well.
Have any others here had any more updates? - positive or negative?
Phil.
I would like to confirm that I have still not received a response from BTTF /Simon Dixon - and am still being denied access to my account, despite successful revalidation.
This was the password-reset? Or one or more of their “Tiers”? Which were not there in 2016:
Note the main part of that url, i.e. website-address: freshdesk.com. A third party:
Meet Freshworks’ AI-driven Customer Service Suite, Learn more …
It was “Tier 1” revalidation.
I have no interest in any other products BTTF offer.
I purchased Maid shares in 2016 and have had no problem accessing my account till now.
If they feel I am NOW not sophisticated enough for them, they should return my investment - Instead, just silence - and still no access to my account.
In effect, BTTF has stolen my money.
Been wondering about the sophisticated investor requirement when reading this thread.
Been a while but I believe that sophisticated investor was a self certification back then.
Not to say that anyone answered the requirement incorrectly, but, if anyone did, who is in the wrong and does BTTF have any obligation to a person who was not honest in the self certification.
The silly buggers were probably caught off guard by those global anti-money laundering measures a few years ago? My own bank, excuse me, my OTHER bank - moewah - notified me every which way and all the time with velvet gloves back then AND afterwards I did still have access to my account and what was in it.
KYC (Know Your Customer), came across this but do not know whether this applies to Cayman Island businesses:
Different periodicities have been prescribed for updation of KYC records depending on the risk perception of the bank. KYC is required to be done once in every two years for high risk customers, once in every eight years for medium risk customers and once in every ten years for low risk customers. This exercise would involve all formalities normally taken at the time of opening the account.
Would that not leave me exempt for another few years having invested there but not that much of an amount?
So this does not restore your confidence? That “Freshdesk” again:
What happens to my money when I back or invest this pitch?
All monies will be held in a fully segregated client escrow account completely separate from our company accounts ‘earmarked’ for the relevant pitch with a leading bank who are authorised and regulated to hold such funds and will be transferred to the pitch teams business bank account if the pitch expires whether it reaches at least its minimum funding goal or not.
We do not benefit or receive interest on this money in any way and in the unlikely event that BnkToTheFuture.com were to dissolve, your money is fully segregated and separate from our company money.
I have never applied for anything above Tier-1.
I have not been dishonest.
BTTF are not responding to my communications and I still don’t have access to my account.
This is, at the very least, gross incompetence, but probably worse.
Any suggestions as to how one should proceed - I don’t have the money to afford a lawyer.
I’ve got a fantastic 3 pronged strategy.
- Buy some Maidsafecoin to replace your lost investment.
- See Dimitars post above. You can tweet something and have everyone like it.
- Get a list of everyone who got ripped off. Start a new topic explaining the situation. Everyone who invested in Maidsafe tries to log in. If everyone has a problem, you have a big united group of powerful people. Within this big group, someone will know what to do. Maybe someone knows a journalist or blogger who can publicize the situation. All these angry creative people will be very powerful.
Nobody messes with Maidsafe. We are all united.
You are not alone. You are the whistleblower. You are not a chump. You are a savior.
Thank-you for your encouraging input - - will do as you suggest ![]()
