@loziniak, @safemedia, and I have a very recent accomplishment we find exciting to share.
We have successfully imported our first public song file, provided on this forum by @Southside, into the JAMS Desktop Application!
@loziniak was kind enough to take a couple screen shots that showcase this, as well as his and @safemedia’s excellent work. This is just a preliminary teaser to a soon to come full announcement that will break down the Jams Player Desktop application, our approach, and future goals and milestones.
You’ve been working on the project for literal years. It no doubt feels amazing to see it coming to life and a point of viability. Congratulations @Nigel!
We’ll have more on that in the future announcement. Was working on a web implementation slowly over the years more specifically so this desktop app was a total pivot and from scratch, with 100% credit to @loziniak and @safemedia. This was done to get something in people’s hands as quickly as possible. Web implantation when the network is more browser supported in the future though, for sure. Thank you for your support, it means a lot to us.
Honestly, it was the first one we tried, but we only found archive datatype BegBlag back then… We even called our dummy data “Beg Blag” months before having any downloads!
perhaps a safe network version of the entire game of Trivial Pursuit
that makes me so happy that beg blag was a place holder
these ones should work

Ok, so this was uploaded with Jams, try it out, most probably with -x option, because it’s a public data xorname: 89c4354be2a6eda79d0cd1aa9cba19dcfa0ae552dba0f4b819b5accc7a2aea63 – “A Lazy Farmer Boy” by Buster Carter And Preston Young, (c) 1931, public domain

@Nigel do you know what sort of income from streaming and CDs artists get these days? Is it a substantial income or are live shows where it is at these days?
Just wondering how to pay folks for their music on Autonomi in an equitable way.
@loziniak@Nigel@safemedia a big round of applause!
I’ve heard Spotify shares are going down along with the whole stock market but not because of Trump’s tariffs
