12pm noon here in Cali
Anyone hoping for vaults to be released to the public on Tues? Or maybe the following week?
I hope so , who doesn’t want to play with Vaults at this point ?’ , I’ve seen Crust is
almost done , too ( Windows build is still failing but OSX & Linux passed - github ) .
If we don’t get the stuff on Tuesday it isn’t far away ;
lots of github sections look very good . Any News
from the Dev Team will be received warmheartedly ![]()
I hope so. The last update was underwhelming.
If you think we’re excited imagine how the rest of the world will feel when the final release is out and introduced to them for the first time. Then imagine how all the big corporations who rely on centralized servers will feel. Woosh go your profits.
Warning: whiny nitpicking ahead. — I’m a huge fan-boy, as anyone else could as well be, but felt last update was “underwhelming,” too. Only because of, funnily enough, this thread here. I was expecting lots of talk about vaults and messaging because of this Pre-Dev-Update thread talking about it (I think predominantly it was NAT Traversal being completed, and messaging or something?). [Almost like they didn’t even bother talking about those things much, because it was already mentioned in this thread; though, that’s a weird reason to not talk about them for the main update.] Anyway don’t spend too much time on me, since I should probably read the update for a third time to even further understand all the positives.
Basically, I was quite jarred. Hopefully my and others’ result of expectations being shattered puts in perspective the future uses of this thread. Maybe have a disclaimer…
…like : Whichever discoveries that people find in the github before the primary update thread should be taken with a grain of salt. ?
P.S.
noticed a weird forum behavior. Here’s some tests for it:
test**:**
test?:
test
test
(The issue is: boldface syntax only works in certain instances. Not sure if intentional. Strange that it works after a question mark.)
Yes this is just meant to be a fun thread with predictions and hopes (and occasionally real evidence) but not meant to be officially believed
I highly doubt it will be released this week. Let’s not forget it’s only been 2 weeks since the last test network release. I really hope I am wrong, but we can’t rush progress. Progress for the sake of progress must be discouraged.
I might repeat what I said some time ago in this topic ![]()
Crust Build passing!

I hope so much that we will see something in regards to chat soon.
When people see a chat client similarly to skype, within a completely decentralized and fully private network it will turn heads. Decentralized storage should do that as well, and does to some extent, however the average joe just doesn’t grasp how important and valuable data is and will be in the future. (for now)
Atm there are countless chat services on the web, all offering their own approach to anonymity, And then David comes along and just drops the most efficient and simplistic solution imaginable, with other incredible functions layered within… It’s so mindblowing…
I like the project, but I’d wait until the blackhats attack the network before I’d congratulate the team on anonymity.
almost time to sit here staring at the screen waiting for the update.
ahh the weekly routine.

My prayers go out to those without MAID before the biggest “pump” in crypto sometime in the next weeks or months.
Gee thanks. You know not everyone involved in this project can afford to buy crypto.
You serious? You can’t buy a maid coin for 10cents?
Maid costs bitcoin man. It’s getting ahold of the bitcoin that’s the problem. People don’t sell that in 10 cent chunks they sell that in $100 or more chunks.
you know … it is a risky to investment Oo … and investing 10 cents in the hope it will be 10 dollars once … doesn’t really solve the problem of being broke
(plus you have 2 maids transaction fee at polo ^^)
@Blindsite2k not 100% true Oo … at “my exchange” smallest buy is 0.05 btc i think … maybe 0.1 … i don’t know exactly
but absolutely true … not everybody has spare money to invest … you have to live too … and that costs money ![]()
No, you can always buy one coin, even if they sell it in chunks. And it is more easy to get btc then maids.
