@dirvine
I would go this route for the short term.
Move all the Polo coins to Bittrex and make this the main exchange for MAID
Apply for listing on https://vcc.exchange/ So US customers can trade indirectly on Bittrex and we have an extra exchange (with no KYC!)
Application in place now. We have another couple of options in play. More soon
It keeps us strong to know the big guys would like us dead. As with the murder of William Wallace, this might not have the desired outcome for those who seek to harm us. They are not only dealing with a small group here, they have to deal with the new bigger, stronger group, THIS COMMUNITY. They will lose
Please check Upbit, because Maidsafe got approved for Bittrex international that opens up to all Bittrex international partners. Upbit might be a free lunch and they are top 20 volume of all exchanges. Even if I donât know if the volume applies to both US and international customers it still seems as something well worth to check out.
I will try, but I am also doing a ton of stuff, never mind programming. so if anyone can help then great. I will not be able to check all exchanges we find, myself. I can do what I can, but each search is a fair bit of work.
Shunting us off an exchange isnât going to stop us. Hands up anyone panic selling? No one that counts. I will be putting MORE cash in at cheap prices. The potential to mop up massive amounts of cheap coin is to enticing for people who know what this project will deliver.
We are NOT interested in the price movements of the MAID token. We are interested in playing with the technology, as passionate about the tech as Steve Jobs was of Apple. We are not interested in the price of MAID token, just the accumulation. of the token. What we are interested in is having network currency to access the services being built now⌠as a nice by the by⌠because of its utility, the SAFECoin form of the coin will eventually be valuable.
When push comes to shove I feel there are other community based funding opertunies if ever needed. Especially when we see Fleming, at that point⌠you could as for some serious monthly sponsorships.
In the meantime, damn, people⌠fill your boots up. Fill your strong hands frome the weak hands, and possibly manipulated hands. In the future with the gains we will see, we can do good by our families, friends, and fund politicians and people who have our best community (your actual local living community) interests at heart.
I donât want to put on my tin foil hat tonight, or tempt fate⌠but judging by the community posts, we arenât bothered. If there is a âtheyâ theyâll have to try harder - or not gift us their cheap coins.
Shunting is of an exchange is only going to deter people who donât really deserve the payout. They are completely entitled to their trading ways and abandoning a coin that looks a poor deal, but people with the right mental strength to go forward and make a good change in the world will remain.
THIS COMMUNITY is a community with technology lovers, tinkerers, and people of worldly and industrial experience. Weâre not shaken.
That is reasonable. I too think it is very important we donât just check every or just any exchange. MAID is a world top 70-100 market cap project right now, we dont need just any exchange, we need high daily volume, low entry cost and trustworthiness, world regions cover. Consider for exampel to look at coingeckos (or similar) index of world top 20-30 in real daily volume and see which fits our criteria and needs of for example low entry cost, high volume and trustworthines, world regions cover.
I donât think low entry cost is enough, I think free entry is better.
Any cost takes money from development, and has not been agreed upon by those in charge of the purse strings.
As we donât know what an entry cost might be or not, it is not easy to consider until there is a real proposal. But for exmpale letâs say we can reach zero volume exchanges for free but an exchange with high daily volume might cost 0, 10, 100k USD or more. All things are relative and should be considered as cost/reward. A zero/low volume exchange wont help us even if it is free because we have seen before that it is hard to trade on exchanges with low popularity.
Yeah this seems like the best option. Bittrex is going nowhere. From technical perspective nothing needs to happen, we can trade on there, big guys like maidsafe themselves can liquidate, US fellows can trade via the Bittrex VCC option.
Everything about this seems good.
And here you were thinking you might get a break for the holidays , nope Polo decided it would be a great time to cause more work heh. No rest for the weary indeed.
Hopefully the devs can get a holiday break and not stress on this while you focus and sort out this small mess though.
Huobi Global has a good ranking and higher volume than many others. Here is their application center. Seems reasonable. They want weekly progress reports but that could literally just be the weekly dev update. There are other requirements too.
Itâs all recorded on the btc blockchain, that data is not going to disappear.
And omni are currently spending money enhancing and building out omni.
Letâs cross that bridge when / if we need to.
Omni is permanently encoded on the Bitcoin block chain. If omni did go obsolete, which I highly doubt, Maidsafe would still be able to honour the 1:1 exchange from maidsafe to SAFECoin - which is all I, and many here, are interested in.
The disapearence of maidsafe would be a great shame to people who have not accumulated yet.
