Recent changes will have impacted the total no of active nodes.
My 500-ish Formicaio nodes are seeing an average of ~1.4m nodes.
What are others seeing?

How current is that figure? Daily, hourly or updated every few mins?
Some of my nodes are reporting >2.2m nodes, others as low as ~750k
Not sure exactly how often its updated but its at least once a day

It’s updated automatically twice daily from the metrics agregatted from our fleet of nodes

I think its important for the team to reiterate why we are seeing data loss even after the past network upgrades, or at least what the current theories are. This is the core function of the network, to store and preserve data in full, forever (as long as the network is live).
I don’t understand why there is barely conversation about this here, is it because of large node drops which are still ongoing? What solutions are being worked on currently

It’s because team is not active in this forum in general. Discord might be better place to look for their engagement.

I just wanted to point out, that the team doesn’t engage in any discussion so much here, so it’s not so weird that this issue hasn’t been discussed either.

Sure has. Do keep in mind that they acknowledged data loss before the Christmas update, the update itself should get rid of bad nodes and they had to see the effect. We can now see we’re not quite there yet, but the team is just back at it after the holiday break.
