What about a network attack by data flooding

Let’s say malicious hackers want to cripple the network by flooding tons and tons of data on the network, and in essence fill up all the vaults with useless data. Let’s assume something large scale like a 10,000 zombie computer attack or maybe a rogue state with a lot of resources that doesn’t like an uncensored internet. How would such an attack be mitigated?

What about a "Dataflood" attack?

I’m reading about the possible attacks on the network: http://maidsafe.net/SystemDocs/attacks/README.html What about a dataflood attack? let’s say I have some money and I want to bring down Maidsafe. I go into the sourcecode of the software and make it so that the software goes online, creates a random inlog, pin, pass etc. Maybe I get some free 3 gigs of storage to use without the need for any safecoin. I upload random data tot the account to fill up the 3 gigs, disconnect and than re-connect…

That is incorrect. The VERY FIRST coin ever in the live system will only buy 1MB, but @dirvine has said that cost per MB reduces each coin after that till the network balances out. The reduction is exponential so the balance point is reached in only a handful of coins. $1 Email! is the Network Out of it's Mind?

What will happen when the market value for Safecoin reaches $1 and a user wants to send an email? Since the smallest amount of Safecoin that a user can spend is 1 Safecoin, does that mean the cheapest email that a user can send is one dollar?

Permanent data storage + lots of nodes falling away

What will happen if SAFE gets wildly successful at some point and people are going to upload a massive amount of data, but at a later stage we get a large dip in user interest somehow (whatever the reason). Such a large dip that the combined storage of vaults is not enough to store all the data anymore (since data storage is permanent (?) this will only increase). What will happen in such a scenario?

What’s stopping me from making an app that generates GET request for all chunks that are stored in my vault? Since I know their IDs, any GET request would end up being sent to my vault and it would earn some Safecoins in return. What am I missing?

Cost of storing data on SAFE?

Hi, Is there anything known about the cost of uploading and/or storing data? I know MaidSafe is not live yet but are there ballpark figurs? For instance, we know what AWS, Dropbox, Azure or others charge for storing data but do we know if MaidSafe will be competitive in terms of pricing?
