May 6 Update from Bux and David

Hello everyone,

Really looking forward to jumping on with some of you at tomorrow’s stages - David and I will be there, to answer questions and to dive into any elements you guys would like to cover. Although … as Gill and Jim will remind us both, the focus, as it should be is on, not just Impossible Futures, but also the builders of that future!

Talking of those who are going to build the future … please find below another interview/chat with David - we cover some nice chunky topics, and as usual he’s brilliantly fun and engaging to listen too. This time, I did have to include a little of myself, for the flow to make sense - so apologies for that, but hey, you can’t have it all.

I’ve put below a ‘short’ as well, but if you have 30 minutes some time this week, I really would recommend a view of the full video - David’s insights and perspectives, as usual, didn’t disappoint!! :flexed_biceps:

Hopefully we’ll get to ‘see’ and chat with some of you tomorrow!!

Thanks so much to the entire Autonomi team for all of your hard work! :sweat_droplets:

Also, thanks to Bux and DIrvine too because trying to improve the world is a lot of headache and stress! Make sure to take some time off!

Indeed - excellent content.

Thank you to @dirvine for being David, still fighting on and up after everything and also to @Bux for asking the right questions.
Thanks to both of them.

So much more to say but others will put it more eloquently so I’ll leave it for now.

I still cannot agree with that grass is purple :smiling_face_with_horns:. In fact it’s not green nor purple, because color is just a quality of our perception, not a property of an item. It’s a property of light, that enters our eyes.

Fantastic & inspirational!

Bring on the Autonomi app store / browser type idea plus web of trust implementations… this network may end up being quite revolutionary

Yeah, and the fact, that the word ROADMAP appears! Love it, I hope I can sleep tonight

But more correctly, it is naming what our perception senses. So green is the name to the perception and generally accepted by people.

But if you take a green led then the light is in the green portion of the EM spectrum. The light coming off grass is also green because the light is in the green portion of the EM spectrum. Now we name those frequencies in the EM spectrum as part of the visible light section and more specifically green.

Its just a way to challenge people’s perception.

EDIT: Actually the colour of grass cannot be purple no matter how you look at it. Since grass absorbs all other colours, incl UV, then grass cannot be those colours. Those other frequencies are absorbed and thus cannot be colours LOL Colour is what is transmitted EG green led

And down the rabbit hole we go… Apparently purple is simply “not green” and doesn’t actually exist as a light wavelength, but is entirely manufactured by our brains.

ROY G BIV … the last two being Indigo and Violet … which to my mind are just different shades of purple.

As neo said:

So yes, purple is real because people commonly accept such.

[sarc]As a side note [/sarc]  … great video’s David and Bux, thanks.
