MaidSafeCoin is now available on the Ethereum blockchain, thanks to eMAID

Yes it has been listed on coinmarketcap, see here:

Today I noticed that the deadline for eMAID onboarding has been extended by one more year, until December 31, 2023 :tada:

Thank you @altcoinomy for facilitating the process! Personally I feel the ability to have more than one option brings a great relief. Listings on new exchanges have become easier because of eMAID which is widely supported due to the erc20 standard. Omni MAID is still great too and personally I like to keep a bit of both.

Over the year, since April I’ve been facilitating transition by doing both arbitrage on Bittrex and Uniswap. In total I’ve removed 458,937 MAID from the sell side on Bittrex and made it more easily available on Uniswap in total of 15 mints (total $45.75 in minting fees). I would like to donate the gas fees back to the Bamboo Garden Fund but haven’t seen a official donation address yet.

Thank you once more, @BambooGarden @maidsafe @altcoinomy for making this happen! Wish you all a good new year and cannot wait what 2023 has to offer us all. :tada: :dizzy: :100:

hey guys, sorry if answered already but will the omni-MAID to SNT process be KYC’d?

same for eMAID to SNT?

I would be very surprised if there wasn’t some form of KYC required. Governments have been really cracking down.

It’s always subject to changes of regulations and process in the intervening time, but at this stage we don’t believe there will be any further KYC process required for MaidSafeCoin holders to get their SNT. It will be a form of airdrop, and should hopefully be quite straightforward.

So, 2033.

Oh sorry, typo, 2023.

(Just a little trading thread humor from 2015.)

I bought MAID in the 2014 crowdsale and unsuccessfully attempted to convert it to eMAID recently. Seems that the company doing the swap, Altcoinomy, doesn’t want to do business with US citizens but can’t officially ban them according to the contract, so they are just giving us the run around till we give up. Their automated system asked for images of my driver’s license then I got an email asking for images of my passport. Then I was ignored till I asked by email what was going on, then they simply replied that they never got my uploads. Intrusive at best, suspicious at worst, so I’ve just decided to hold onto my OMNI tokens and would suggest that others do the same.

I’m a US citizen and had no issues doing my conversion.

I assumed it was in response to recent regulatory actions in the USA.

How long ago was this attempt?

How long ago did you do your conversion?

Whenever it was when they opened it up. About a year ago.

Thanks. Thats important because things can change, And I am currently looking into options myself.

I would be surprised if they cut off US people from conversion. Part of the entire reason for pushing for it in the first place was because there were no good exchanges for US customers using the Omni token.

I have no doubt if you stick with it it will get done.

Last week.

Ok and was there something in particular that makes you suspicious that this challenge is because you are a US customer? Or is this a hunch.

It’s just as I’ve described. I write my experience here as a matter of record. If others have the same experience then a pattern of behavior can be established.

I’m doing arbitrage and have done a smooth on-boarding for over 10 times without any issues. What is important is that you can prove the source of your funds and ownership of the addresses that you use.

Overall the process with Altcoinomy has been great and continues to be so. :+1:

Can I still convert my oMaids to eMaids with Alcoinomy?

has anyone successfully done it recently?
