While [Routing Table Size] is suggested above 8, it’s alive enough that it allows others to play. It’ll be interesting to see if the issues with launcher and upload app delay get worse. Might as well keep it running until the next test, if only to give others a chance to have a go at connecting the vault. The more people involved next time the better for size and stability.
Strange. When we first started I could use the demo app just fine. Even when it was just me running most of the vaults and blue running the bootstrap. Now, I can connect to the account I had made, but the sites posted in this thread dont load, and I can’t use the demo app anymore either. I still have all 9 vaults running. Guess I’m waiting for the next test too (though this was a boat load of fun to play with). This was WAY more stable than the last test, and if the improvement amount is anything like last time, this experiment should be way easier after the next test.
Yes, I lost hello.safenet a few hours back.
It gives error:
{"errorCode":-18,"description":"CoreError::GetFailure"}
and accessing what I thought was that account logs in but the launcher fails when the demo app is trying to setup, with error:
--------------------------------------------------
| FfiError::NfsError -> NfsError::CoreError -> CoreError::GetFailure::{ reason: NoSuchData, request: Structured(e962.., 15101)}
--------------------------------------------------
Which I read as lost data which is no surprise.
Still I had success beyond then uploading small amounts.
It’s interesting to see the network at it’s limit, I wonder that when some never event occurs, the error needs to be explicit about what has happened… bit cryptic atm.
www.maveric.safenet is up. Couldn’t log into my other account anymore, and the “wes” username was taken, so something remains of the old account, but not enough to wipe it out completely.
You got there just in time to be included:
The result of a simple spider of the sites I’m aware have existed.
Had the same problem here, but no problem registering again and getting demo app up. Understandable that some stuff is lost in such a small network, but generally very impressed that it is still running.
Edit: reupped my entire site folder, audio files and all. Went supersmooth, although a little slow, but thats to expect.
My Vault is not connecting. I still use the config that @bluebird provided. Anybody else got an IP for me? Or did I miss a change to another network??
<
try this ------------------------- 20 char
Thank you very much, here we have 3 IP’s to use as seednodes. Maybe @bluebird can update his OP with this configuration?
It worked? I think I saw a new node added to the table in my log, as well as a new ID/client account beeing created.
I’m in a routingtable with 26 users. My vault filled up quite fast with 20MB of chunks. No account created yet. But I will now.
im running three vaults, one with 26, one with 25 and one with 30 in routingtable, hah.
Creating an account is not working. Logging in with the same details I did yesterday also didn’t work.
strange, ive created several accounts today. uploaded and deleted data several times as well.
Did you update launcher config to be the same as vault?
No, maybe that will work.
I have started a vault, and updated the OP as suggested by @anon40790172. My table has 26 entries.
Could also add that people should change the launcher config to the same as vault config as well.
Random Redirect now at
http://random.yvette.safenet
works off the directory of working sites at
http://dir.yvette.safenet
I wonder that when the network was weakest it’s lost some of the detail to maintain accounts and so errors above but seems to be working well ok now, including new registrations - though not allowing reregistering ones that broke, so something of those must remain.
Same conclusion I reached, it seems most of the data from those accounts still persist though.
I shut down my 4-5 vaults at the same time at some point last night. And set up one vault to run over night, and the routing table was down to 5 or 6 at some point I think.
Thanks @aenemic, I did that.
I got in and created a webpage lightning fast this time:
