Oh for sure, and that’s what I was doing. Unfortunately I don’t think the current trajectory of the project is something I wish to contribute to at the moment. Perhaps in the future this will change and I’ll contribute again. There are many worthwhile projects so I had to be careful with my time.
I risk sounding like an old record, but until we migrate the token to a network with an established community and adequate liquidity like Solana (which hasn’t halted in over two years) I’m not overly optimistic for Autonomi. It has great tech, ideals and potential to really push humankind forward, but the path chosen to get to this future point of worldwide adoption is not the one I think we are currently on.
I’d love to be proven wrong, and really do wish the network the best!
It just makes me sad because it feels like several who develops apps thinks they know what is best for the network and are entiteled to decide and that they draw red lines if everything is not to their liking, instead of trying to work with what we got.
Every community dev who makes a good app can’t own and control the network aboove Bux, Dave and the team.
To be fair, the team (or community) can’t expect free development for something that devs don’t believe in or agree with either. All a dev can do is either donate their time or retain it.
It is natural that non-team devs will draw red lines. They aren’t paid, so they are only going to align with something if their heart isn’t in it.
Imo, this is why it is important for the team to engage with and listen to the community. It is key to extending dev (and non-dev) reach beyond what can be accomplished by a small team.
Personally, I think Merkle Tree payments, along with paymaster, will make the token choice less important. At least in the short/medium term. I’ll keep cracking away with AntTP and I’m hopeful we are turning a corner this week.
It’s hard to know without viewing the logs, but iirc, the code was uploaded before the recent antnode fixes were in place. There could have been data loss?
