Normal and expected. There should be a tiny bit of BTC when looking at your address with bitcoinexplorer
Does what @Josh show you those coins? It does when I look, so you are fine

Thank you Savage. Sigh of relief. Much appreciated.
And thank you Neo. Yes, Savage’s solution shows all the coin. Much appreciated.
Hello
I’m new to cryptocurrency and am interested in investing about £30-50 a week mainly with maidsafe as I think this would make the most profit when all development is complete if anyone has any tips would love to here them thanks

Make sure the fees don’t kill you at that rate. You might find it better to do it monthly. Poloniex charge just 0.15% for maker fees on the BTC>MAID exchange. The cheapest way to buy and sell BTC with fiat that I know of is ‘uphold’, but it is slow. Coinbase charge crazy fees, don’t use them imo.
Store in a col wallet (offline BTC key pairing), don’t leave them on the exchange where you bought them. If you leave them in a wallet then make sure you always use 2FA!
That’s about it for tips from me
Good point. I only really look at the % fees as they make a bigger difference for me. I guess some checking is required to find out what’s best for any one situation. It will probably vary based on jurisdictions and bank charges etc. Lots of small payments will probably cost you more than a few larger ones though.
Here’s a step by step guide to buying and storing Maidsafe coins: https://buymaidsafecoin.info/
I’ve run into this a few times and it’s because they are “out”, but that was a while ago. I’d just get on Twitter and send a tweet to them for confirmation on the reason it’s unavailable at the moment.
I live in NY State and can’t even use shapeshift anymore because of NY being the land where businesses go to die…
From other posts i gather this has been true for quite a long time now. (very long in crypto terms)
I guess we can conclude shapeshift really is not an option for exchanging other cryptocurrencies to maidsafe anymore. Maybe when it has become safecoin when the safe network is released, but for now nope…
Oh my god, yeah I lived in NYC for most of my life and participating in anything crypto was a PITA. My solution was to move to NJ (well, we moved for other reasons, but no BitLicense laws here! Yeeaah! And still pretty easy to get to the city)
Also, regarding Shapeshift: I’ve been using Changelly (a similar service that works the same way as Shapeshift) to buy my MAID. It works pretty well.
want to be really safe BTC ATM > Shapeshift > Safecoin
Never have to use your card or leave any paper trail.
What about using this site: Buy MaidSafeCoin Australia - Safe, Easy, Fast | CoinSpot would that be the same or it is much more expensive ?
Wow that is really expensive. $0.53 as opposed to $0.40! Do not use that site. Please no one ever use that site!
@Jabba, that is in AUD$
Is there any other suggested site where I can get MAIDSAFE coin with Credit Card ?
That is AUD not USD
At an exchange rate that is nearing $1.30 AUD to 1 USD then 0.40 USD is 0.52 AUD
I bought ETH instead of BTC. Is there a way to trade that to MAID or do I have to convert it to BTC first?
I think this the only way.
I found this. Explains every step.
