I cannot start my nodes

I cannot start my nodes. I have nodes installed on two machines and they have been running for some months now. However, having downloaded launchpad 5.4, I cannot start any of the nodes on either machine. I have tried updating and resetting nodes. I have restarted launchpad. I have restarted both computers. But the nodes will now start. I type [Ctrl S] and the status briefly changes to ‘starting’ before returning to ‘stopped’.

Any ideas, anyone?

Can you try performing a reset?

Thanks for coming back to me. I have tried a reset and I get the error message ‘Error resetting nodes Failed to remove one or more services’.

Maybe you have created the nodes using root (or sudo) ?

Thanks for this. I just downloaded version 5.4 and run it as an administrator.

The nodes were running fine before I did that.

On Fedora 41 the program doesn’t start at all. I even did a clean install of Fedora 41 on my laptop, but still nothing, so I guess it is due to and update of Fedora 41. Anyone else having the same problem?

if you’re using Linux, do not run as root/sudo there is a bug.

if you did, run as root one last time, reset your broken nodes and then log in as a normal user and try again please.

The services need cleaning out and directories deleted @rusty.spork
The start starting then stopping is a good indicator that there is a conflict happening and they need to clean slate it and start over. (deleted services and directories)

How do I clean out and delete the directories? I can see no command in launchpad. Thanks.

Delete the services: Maximum amount of retries (5) | Autonomi

Clear out all the files: Launchpad crashes right away | Autonomi

I am trying to start 400 nodes on my Windows 11 pc using CLI but it will only start 109. The antctl add command does add all 400 nodes but when I issue “antctl start --interval 60000” it only starts 109. What do you think is the limiting factor on my PC? It has an Asustek Pro H610T D4 (LGA1700) motherboard, Intel Core i9-12900 cpu (Alder Lake 10nm Technology), 64GB RAM, 4TB M.2 NVMe disk drive (the only drive in system) and is running Windows 11 Pro operating system. The cpu is rated at 16 cores/24 threads. I have opened 400 dedicated ports above 54000 on the pc and router (Microtik RB5009) and Windows Firewall.
