Just a reminder for everyone (and me):
- No set of rules are perfect (just ask Russell and Whitehead), but the forum’s are pretty reasonable and clear. Here are your friendly guidelines, give them a read.
- Flagging is simple, and is private between you and the mods. It doesn’t mean you’re a bad sport, you’re doing all reasonable people here a favour if you flag nonsense. Strength in numbers and all that. Click the three dots on the post → click the flag → notify staff privately → bottom two include the option of writing a message explaining the issue, if it’s not already covered by the other options.
- Muting a topic is a doddle: scroll to the very bottom, and click on the bell where it says “Tracking”, and select “Muted”. Done, you are free from that thread polluting your Discourse feed, and you won’t get notifications about it.
- Also, bonus, you can flag a whole topic, if you think the topic itself is a violation. Down the bottom, it says “Flag”, with the same interface as when you flag a post.
