Pixelfed is an open source decentralised alternative to instagram. It’s had a huge amount of sign ups in the recent weeks and is struggling a little under the load and what not. They’re currently crowdfunding as much as they can.
Could the safe network be of help to them? It sounds like their missions and values align.

Welcome to the forum!
I expect storing Pixelfed data on Autonomi (after the launch) could be a good move for Pixelfed, as they could reduce infrastructure costs etc, and would just need a fairly low-powered server to pass the data from Autonomi over to their app.
I see there are a bunch of community servers available to host people’s photos on. I guess once the Autonomi API is ready, it’d be fairly straightforward to make a community server that used Autonomi as the back-end for hosting photos/other data… but someone would need to pay the upload costs, so that would need to be figured out.
It remains to be seen how expensive hosting the data on Autonomi will be, but if it’s fairly competitive, it could be a nice use case
