Community Token Proposal :IF:

@DavidMc0 you can test on Alpha if you want:

I cannot use the app now, cannot create wallet because of payment errors.

I am officially confused.

Might look at this tomorrow…

It’s ok, I’ll wait until things are working on mainnet. Hope the issues are resolved shortly

Hmm I think the problem could be we’re still on autonomi v0.5.1 here. I’ll update tomorrow.

And if there’s forks you need to handle them similar to what @zettawatt describes there

Is it possible to design the token such that no bugs in a wallet can ever lose tokens/transactions nor leave tokens/transactions in a faulty state?

Something very user friendly about Metamask is that I can delete accounts and basically everything, then restore it all just using seed phrase + clicking add new account. When I show that to normal people they’re relieved by that.

FYI, I had to build AntTP with 0.5.3 to make it compatible with main net too. It wouldn’t even connect otherwise.

I updated, and my wallet works again. So now we can…

And @DavidMc0, that’s my public key to receive some $FLAT from you: 8640973b7a894dcb58a76f8bd3f67850e9dbdd8e5e70b748f1a7f2c9c6d65403b28109f9dbbda6b0ed04475504fec8a0. Once you do the payment, I’ll need the spend address to receive tokens.

It’s not exactly a design of token, but mostly wallet implementation, because wallet data is saved to Autonomi only. One idea could be duplicate the storage locally.

In Metamask you also can lose funds if you loose your passphrase/password/privkeys. What is different in ACT is, that you need to save more data in order to access the funds – in addition to Secret Key you also have to remember unspent inputs, and that’s what my wallet lost.

Great work… let’s see how this goes.

Can I please request some TT2 to 8bcf4edf60169631e6bc6c774f2dbfa0b325859d4e68e9828cdea9d26ef2259fcb34135b84b104a03a6a2cf6c1f26c7d?

2000 FLAT are wafting over for you to claim with this spend: 959700d59cfa3ed725e46c2c066ddd7172c8f41400e9992a8fb93b04127f3585f7c8775aec52e0e86819b3764088045b

My balance has dropped by 2000, so it seems to be working this end

Edit: note of a typo; there’s a missing ‘e’ on the notice that a spend was created. It says “Crated” rather than “Created”.

Received it, thanks! But unfortunately I had scratchpad fork. So, to continue I have to implement fork resolution, like @riddim suggested.

Perhaps this post summarizes it well:

Does it answer your question?

Thanks!

Unfortunately to receive we’ll firstly need to have the token ID for GRUMP, then request the GRUMP to get a public key to receive it on, which you would then send the GRUMP to.

Can you provide the GRUMP public ID so I can provide a public key to receive on?

If you send a public key for 84640237ee78b5e3a854278d0b080594bc2036051ec74fc27532154ce1c1c000 (using the request function) I’ll emit some FLAT for you.

@loziniak, having token specific public IDs is good in that it would prevents spam of junk tokens (like on ERC20 addresses). Is there any potential in the future to have a public key that can receive a variety of tokens if that were preferred in some cases?

Unfortunately I had a ‘forked scratchpad’ error when requesting GRUMP, so I’ll have to wait until I can receive some!

Soon enough I’m sure we’ll be firing tokens around seamlessly

try this for 5k GRUMP

For now firing tokens is easier and less error prone that doing transactions :stuck_out_tongue: And soon $GRUMP and $FLAT will be top meme coins for sure!
