yes you can
Due to a change I made, this auth code is expired. If you want to get a drip, generate a new challenge code and update your post before authorizing.
Your code has expired due to an update in the faucet, Please see the post just before this one.
Your challenge has also expired. Please try again.

It’s been 6 hours since you posted this, are you still having a problem?

Including the one just now and the Denial of Service attack, the drip count stands at 199, who will be lucky 200?

For those who are using the faucet funds as intended, you only have a limited amount of ETH to test with, and current (March 4, 2025) transaction prices can cost more than the size of the drip.
Please keep track of the costs to do transactions or you may not have enough ETH to complete an upload.
Here is a link to a price chart, look at the month view. Unfortunately I don’t know of a way to predict the upload transaction fee from the gas fees, but we do understand that the gas limit option (default .02GWei) is per chunk/per replication, so a minimum of 12 transactions, which consumes about 1 Million units of gas per public upload.
Here is the reason for this post.
The faucet currently contributes 5K GigaANT and 50K GigaWei/(50 MicroETH) to your wallet, which was intended to allow up to three transactions.
I’ll continue to monitor the gas fees and will consider adjusting the drip sizes if the prices stay this elevated. In the meantime, you can help protect your ETH by lowering the default gas (for example from .02Gwei to .01Gwei, which you can do with the ant
cli tool using the --max-fee-per-gas
option. .01Gwei is 10 million units, so --max-fee-per-gas 10000000
)
There is an option for ant file upload
to set the max gas fees (I assume will not upload if gas if over this)
–max-fee-per-gas u128 ← will be an integer 1000000000000000000 is 1 ETH (18 zeros)
Is it per chunk? I think it will be since your file could be 3 or many more.
That’s helpful information, is there an equivalent option for the API?
Do not know sorry.
Also we don’t know from the help whether its for each chunk fees or for the whole upload fees.
Could make a huge difference if 100 chunks in the upload
The Rust APIs have been updated to include this and I’ve added a CLI option to dweb for this but haven’t tried it yet.
Meanwhile @riddim has reported issues using it with the ant CLI:
I received a Ledger to move the vault funds offline. There will be a few test transactions before I move the bulk of the funds.
The new vault wallet will be 0x00455d78f850b0358E8cea5be24d415E01E107CF
There is already published code with the original 0x270A246bcdD03A4A70dc81C330586882a6ceDF8f wallet address, so if this balance gets high again, I’ll sweep funds to the offline vault.
i made arrangements and training today for someone else to know how to get these funds back to the community from my estate.

Interested in doing some testing with new dweb and taking a look at scratchchat
